Lack of response for those still effected by the "fixes"

@HPWUTeam @hpwulola @HPWUrobert

The weekend event starts in one day. As I was ignored all day, yesterday, while I posted multiple times that I have not even received the thousands of foundables back from the 7th, I am very frustrated. I was not the only one posting that, either. Instead of making sure that everyone's fragments were restored from the first issue, you chose to concentrate on fixing the new issue. This resulted in huge losses to those that never received their foundables back from the first bug, since most of those people were effected by the new bug and did not get their stars back either.

Many people that were not even effected by the first bug have been reporting that they received enough foundables to earn hundreds of runestones and skill books. This is hurting the morale of those that lost so much and still have recovered nothing even more! Add to that that the game is nearly unplayable, now, since we can't even place new foundables, in fear that they will just be permanently lost.

I doubt that I'll even get a response from this, since I was ignored all yesterday, but I wanted to at least vent, since I am sure that there are thousands of players that feel similarly to myself.

You have multiple people creating new threads to complain about missing a few foundables, so I decided to make a new thread for this, to try and make sure that the issue is heard and you don't keep concentrating on new, smaller issues, when you still have a massive issue that currently has the game in a completely unplayable state for so many!

    Yesterday had far less posts. Robert and Lola were direct responding to people talking about missing stars, but ignored many posts from myself and others stating that they hadn't finished restoring fragments.

    The posts started to blow out of proportion, after Robert made the false claim that everything was restored. They had plenty time to respond to people, before then.

    Venting is an unhealthy coping mechanism. It's unconstructive and aimed at the wrong people. 😒

    EDIT: rewarding it by responding constructively would send the message that agression is effective. And that's a message that should NEVER be sent. 😉

    Hi, this was indicated in the thread, but we summarized the remaining issues impacting players and presented this to the team this morning. Once we hear about next steps, we will share this with everyone.

    I will share a similar message to the main thread shortly.

    Recap: Right now, we know players may fall into one of both of these categories.

    1. Players who did not see any update this morning who lost fragments during the 2.13.0 update few weeks ago.
    2. Players who saw the fix earlier today (11am PT) but did not see the second correction (6pm PT) reflected in their account. there's folks reporting their green placed icons are missing on Images.

    @hpwulola What about the players that saw the update this morning remove all their placed images (stars), but did not receive the fragments lost in the May 6/7 fix, followed by not seeing the second correction reflected in their account?

    I fall into that category. I lost thousands of fragments on May 6/7, followed by losing all placed images on May 27. I saw no return of fragments either time, so in effect; I lost thousands, followed by losing thousands more. If you look through the dozens of posts in the other thread, you will notice that there are many people in this same boat.

    The way you have it written, it looks like you are only saying that people lost out on fragments one of the two times, but there are many of us that lost out on fragments twice and we are no sitting in limbo with a nearly unplayable game.

    @MrSciGuy Oops. I missed that. Thanks for pointing it out. That is my failure.

    Still no next steps. Still missing months work of work. Still going to be starting a weekend event that we can't benefit from, because your constant failed fixes!

    @BenTiger I don’t think thousands of fragments is accurate. Are you talking about challenge fragments? Because yes there were a lot of those, mainly in the books. But if you are talking about the regular registry pages, it shouldn’t be anywhere near that high.

    I may be wrong but I prestiged after the update, and I think some people are misunderstanding how it works. In my case at least, I did not just keep prestiging pages based on how many foundable Fragments I had returned overall. The fragments that rolled over were the ones that I had showing on my page at the time of the change.

    For example, I may have returned 200 fragments total of a foundable. Just using round numbers to keep it simple, since I don’t remember the actual numbers, suppose I had prestiged a page to silver by using 5 of those fragments on the first page and 15 on the second and the silver page requires 25 and my count stood at 20 of 25. With the change, that silver page now requires 15 fragments and so I am able to place that foundable. When I prestige to the next page, 5 fragments roll over, not the leftover 165 that round out the total of 200. At least this is how it worked for me.

    @hpwulola Is this not how it was supposed to work? Please correct me if I am wrong.

    @CeruleanGirl I really appreciate your rational and level headed approach to all this. It is quite refreshing!

    @CeruleanGirl I had 9 Challenge pages on gold pre May 7, plus progress on other pages. So, well over a thousand fragments lost.

    I have 18 regular pages at gold. Some of those pages have 265 fragments per page, so 4 pages is already over a thousand fragments lost for the May 27 "fix"... so, when I say that I lost thousands of fragments each "fix", that is not an understatement!

    let’s not invalidate other players’ losses or question their count ... we are not insurance adjusters in this tornado-strewn wasteland

    @BenTiger Ah, I see. I didn’t remember any regular pages having that many. I thought maybe you were mostly talking about challenge pages, which of course is bad enough but a whole different thing since they were so outrageously high to begin with. Sorry for the misunderstanding and thanks for explaining.

    @kiheikid It wasn’t my intention to question @BenTiger’s count, I was just checking to see if maybe there was a misinterpretation between what was intended and what was actually happening since that seems like such a high number, but from his response I take it that’s not the case. It doesn’t hurt to ask, does it?

    @CeruleanGirl - why is it the place of any of us to ask / question someone else’s losses and counts ? who appointed the collective us to be insurance adjusters or tax auditors for one another ? let us all be supportive and sympathetic of others who have suffered losses, rather than come across as unsympathetic or, even worse, accusatory that somehow those others must be exaggerating or not credible. i take @BenTiger at his word when he talks about his losses, and i take you at your word that it wasn’t your intention ... but the actual words really spoke for themselves. 🤷🏻‍♂️

    @kiheikid I wasn’t accusing @BenTiger of lying, I was asking if maybe he might be mistaken, and told him why I wondered based on my own experiences. He explained to me that I was the one who had it wrong, which was fine with me. I was not offended in the slightest and I would hope that he wasn’t offended by my musings either. On the off chance that he might be, I apologized for misunderstanding.

    I’m not sure why you feel the need to judge me in this way. I thought perhaps I could help, I politely gave my point of view, I was told I was mistaken, so I happily apologized. Where did I do anything that deserves to be judged and criticized in this way, and to paraphrase you, “why is it your place” to do so?

    I very much enjoy reading your posts, you have a lot of great ideas and observations on the game, but I’m feeling a bit attacked by you at the moment. I hope that was not your intention, and will be happy to put this behind us if you are okay with that.

    @CeruleanGirl - happy to put this behind us. we all should be supportive of others, including @BenTiger , who have suffered loss and are seeking redress or guidance.

    @HPWUTeam @hpwulola @HPWUrobert

    Another day, lacking any sort of update. Please just give us some sort of hope that this issue is still being investigated. There has been zero updates, since Friday. I know everyone is off for the weekend, but it would be nice to get a Monday morning update, to at least let us know that you still care about the hundreds, possibly thousands, of us that are still effected by your "fixes". We lost months of progress, and now, it feels like we are just thrown to the side and ignored.

    HPWU is still a great game, but if you look at the rankings in the Google play store, it has been falling in ranking. Once it falls below 4 stars, less players will be likely to even want to try out the game. This means monetary losses for the company. The longer this issue lasts without any updates towards progress towards a resolution, the worse people are going to rank the game. You are losing players and discouraging others from wanting to even try out the game.
