Why not add a tracker?

Maybe make it so you can go into your registry and tap a specific thing and have the option to start tracking it, in a similar manner to how Pokemon Go was when i first came out with the three footprints mechanism.
I'm sure as wizards and witches they know how to track things like the Oddities page, and the Magical creatures page, with relative ease.
Maybe make a 1 mile radius, if something comes u add it to where you can begin tracking it?

Given that WU has specific areas for certain types of traces, there is no need to "track" these. Those areas are well highlighted by flags.
That doesn't at all solve this problem or anything.
Having a place where they spawn more frequently means nothing when you're trying to find emergency level traces that rarely spawn. It'd be nice to get a notification that one spawned should you decide to track it.
I have a vague recollection that Niantic killed that tracking feature because people were blindly following it into traffic.
