I don't have the before, but I had just placed the Quidditch Fan Luna today (used potent and dawdle) and had maxed Hermione just recently. All I needed to prestige had been Neville that I need 2 of and I was hoping to get him before the next event so I could prestige. I had even gone to two inns to do 6 dark detectors hoping to get him but no luck. Now the banner, Luna and Hermione are returned to where I was a week or so ago.
It's not all my pages but just some. Weasley's Wizard Wheezes being another. All I needed to prestige had been 2 more snack boxes but now its at 2/7 and I need all of the other foundables too.
Also add: I had not placed all my fragments with the first issue, but got through the first 2-3 families and went to reddit etc. to ask what was going on when I saw the belated warning to not place anything, so I stopped. I do see a few of the extra foundables I had placed as expected (ex. Prof. Macdonagull).
I'm looking deeper into my registry and crying: all common pages were finished gold for quite some time. None of them is even close to finished now. I only lost fragments, didn't get anything back.
This just happened to me too! Lost green stars and lost fragments for ones I already maxed. I got the red dots for some that show I have more than the max but this doesn’t make sense. I really do not want to have to put in more time and effort to earn back what I already earned. Could it be another software update issue?
@hpwulola i have fragments missing on pages I had finished months ago and ones which I’ve placed in the last 2 weeks are also missing, lots of them being fortress foundables. So far I’ve left things as they are but is this being fixed?

Another issue is the feature to skip capture animations. I just tried to skip the animation capturing a foundable but it did not work. Had to wait before the animation was finished until I saw the summary page.
we need an answer sooner rather than later. this is a major hit and a stop playing reason. would have been better if you left it as it was. we lost a LOT of time and even money invested in the game to see it just blown away.

I didn’t see/know until later that I needed to take screenshots given that I was most of the way through placing before I came across foundables that I KNOW should have been placed. I know I had recently placed young james and Peter. And I also had the golden snitch needing to be placed for the “first” time (which I had prestiged multiple times during the event).
I also had a few “wonders of the wizarding world” that are no un-placed that I had prestiged.
I “caught” a rememberall fragment (which I already have on a gold page) and wasn’t able to tap through the “catch” animation. After catching it it gave me a “first catch” bonus.
My green stars are missing and I'll have to collect them again to prestige a page. While I appreciate LIONESSMOLLY's mentioning of this issue in a different thread, this is a new issue (somehow related to the older issue).
@hpwulola I have lost almost all my greenstars and didn't got anything back . I placed all my image before 2.13 update and i expected some rare foundables back (Sorting Hat and Pensieve mainly)

Just before your "fix" i had 3/13 Fred with the image placed and 22/22 for both high foundable. Now all greenstars are gone. So i have lost 13 fred , 44 higth foundables and 21 forteress foundables.

I also lost a ton. Without spending lots of time analyzing, it looks to be any fragments I've returned since the last update. Luckily I just made a complete copy of my registry yesterday, so I know exactly what I'm missing, if I need to report the details.
I have also lost a lot of fragments. Had placed both Occamy and Thunderbird in the last 2 weeks using a lot of runestones and now they’re down to 4/7 both of them! I placed the Thestral aaaaages ago and now it’s down to 8/9. Same goes for Moping Myrtle, the portrait of Helga Hufflepuff, young James Potter, the knight bus and so, so many others!!!
I read post of people saying “I wait collecting everything” but how can Niantic HPWU expected from us to wait collecting all the red dots when they see them. I assume the fix is correct when it is rolled out... A player should not have to look on the internet if an update is “safe” to take.
I can't believe they had all this time to test, test, test, and STILL botched the rollout of this fix..if this isn't grounds for a lot of people quitting, I don't know what is.
as others have said, thanks to Lola for keeping us as in the loop as she's presumably allowed, but shame on the dev team and/or whoever at the top is responsible for rushing this sudden and dramatic series of game-changing events.
I’m not sure exactly how to report this but it looks like some of my pages were updated, some not, and some went backwards?
For example, in Oddities II (gold), I lost my green stars but the counts are now overflow (I.e. 85/25), so I suspect that’s okay.
However, in pumpkin patch (also gold), I had all 5 images placed with green stars at various levels and now only 2/5 are placed and there’s no overflow count.
In Triwizard maze (not gold), my page remains exactly the same though I know there are fragments there that I lost.
In Knockturn Alley (not gold), as far as I can tell, things updated correctly.

Want to chime in here and say also lost a lot of fragments as a result of this fix and learned my lesson and won't be playing the game until we learn more. But I worry for what will happen to the rest of the players without a broader announcement or temporary shutdown.
@hpwulola first screenshot was taken yesterday and 2nd one was just now. Couple days ago, I fortressed to place the triwizard cup. Now it is unplaced and I’m missing 8 to place. Hope these screenshots help

I have multiple issues on at least 18 pages. Issues with images I have already placed now saying I have never placed them or issues with green stars gone when I have already placed an image which means I’ve lost loads for when I prestige the page (if I had already placed and had collected more) or in some cases it says I have never gotten to the green star stage for an image when I definitely have. I don’t have any before pictures, and won’t post a million after pictures here. But one example is the beaters bat. With the last event I have collected loads of this. Green starred and everything. But it says I haven’t done that.
I was irritated last time, but after spending some time going across all the missing, formerly placed foundables? Now I'm mad.
Please go through your encounter instance outcome event logging, script a cumulating / monotonically-incrementing counter to iterate the foundable encounter event log from the start, and then push the update per player per foundable *if and only if* the result for that foundable is larger than before. Reset my placements and prestiges if you have to after cumulating the total foundable count--we like jabbing our fingers at things to look at the pretty 2d shaders and particle sprays as we place images and prestige pages. The dopamine is so sweet.
How did this not get spotted like five minutes into QC, guys? Was this rolled out on a preproduction environment first for safety's sake? Or was this done on the live player base data and looked "okay enough to push out" in a hurry?
I was planning on dumping another $US50 (still cheaper than a date out--my wife and I liked playing HPWU together) into the upcoming Quiddich event but, no thanks.

The two circled are ones that I placed before the fragments were returned. As you can see, they are no longer placed.
21 hour ago vs. now. If I tap on the twins one says seen 6, the other seen 7.
Same issue.
