What Unites Us
As we all go in seclusion and learn social distance, stressing about work, school, our kids, our parents, if we have enough toiletpaper....
Let's take some time to appreciate spread compassion
Celebrate what unites us.
For me -PIE we can all love PIE. There are enough flavors for everyone.
What do you celebrate

I can say I am appreciating that this craziness doesn't spill over to the pets we care for and interact with on a daily basis. We had a friend over last night who is single with two pets. They mentioned that it was taking care of their pets that allowed them to focus on NOT going crazy in a time of isolation. I know in days when life has been overwhelming, getting up to take care of my animals has also been a solid focus. They don't give a hoot about the 6ft social distancing rules and will happily cuddle any time a lap is available and a hand ready to pet.
Great post btw @Owlx ! 😊

Movies. Who doesn’t love a good movie? And with all this seclusion going on now throughout the world, what better time than now to sit down with your family and watch some?

@Bormacska great observation furbabies do help improve our lives in so many way.
& it's thanks to @Lucoire for inspiring this post. What they said creative a real spark for me. And hoping the result will be more light here.
@MrSciGuy we watched Crimes of Grindelwald again this week. The Circus Brilliant event game animation of Zouwu increases my awareness of how magical those scenes are.
@MrSciGuy I rarely watch TV or movies because I have the attention span of a Gnat. However, I did binge watch Locke & Key series in less than 24 hours on Netflix. AMAZING🤓
@MrSciGuy 12 Monkeys was on the SYFY Channel last night. Their schedulers must have some kind of warped sense of humour!
What I find interesting is how quickly a common threat can unite us all to one purpose, one common goal. The drama of social consciousness is simply put aside for the greater good. This is an opportunity to step off the hamster wheel of our lives, and ponder that which unites us as humanity. For those who have the eyes to see, this ones for you...

I look forward to spending more time with my two girls.
Hmmm, I'm pondering.
Our society has gone mad with the me, me, me mentality.
A few months ago we were united and doing everything we could for the victims of our bushfires. Now, it's all forgotten and let me have those last 12 packs of toilet paper.
People have been arrested in supermarkets fighting over toilet paper. I'm talking physical violence, not just an argument.
One of our largest supermarkets had shopping for the first hour today for pensioners, disabled and their carers.
Of course I couldn't go due to my low immunity so I sent my husband. He was shocked to find about 300 people already waiting for the doors to open.
The supermarket hadn't done very well. They had forgotten to stock the shelves so there was still no toilet paper or any of the other supplies being limited.
The store was doing the right thing by scanning everyone's pensioner cards to make sure it was the vulnerable in the community gaining access.
Today I was horrified to read that a lot of people were complaining that the aged and disabled were getting priority for 1 hour.
Go figure.
I think I'll don a few protective suit and go zombie hunting. They must be out there. Seriously I prefer animals to humans any day.
I've got 2 gorgeous doggies, 3 green tree frogs, 2 bearded dragons and 4 chickens. They are civilised, well sort of.
My staffy is my unofficial support dog, it's very difficult here to get official status. We have an unbreakable bond. A few months ago he injured his nose and had a large pink patch on it. As it healed we noticed a rather weird yet comfortable scar on his nose. Yes, he had a few lightning scar on it.
The scar has since healed so it wasn't a cursed scar, bless his little heart.
We live in a new world. A new world that is uniting us in new ways.
I feel like this thread is an opportunity for us to talk about the good things that are happening during this Pandemic; stuff that others can explore and try to increase the joy in their lives. So thank you @Owlx for creating it, and for tagging me.
Here is what is uniting me with others and bringing joy into my life during these trying times...
GOVERNOR CUOMO
I've been watching the daily Press Briefings of Governor Cuomo, the Governor of the State of New York. Even though I don't live in the USA, his talks are quite simply, amazing. They are full of the latest numbers affecting all of America, and even though each growing number represents people that are dead or getting critically ill, they are presented in a way that informs and gives hope. 30 minutes of him talking and then 30 minutes of him answering questions from the press. They have been and continue to be inspiring. Regardless of whether you live in the USA or not, check them out.
NURSES
In one of Cuomo's speeches last week he said that this is a defining event that will highlight who we are and will shape our characters. Nurses that have been undervalued in the past are now being heralded like they're war veterans. I hope that this will result in them getting an increase in pay. #idaretodream
DOGS
A few years ago I was forced to stay at home due to recovering from surgery. Despite having the internet, games to play, and films to watch, I was climbing up the walls (with my crutches) and going insane within two weeks. This time I have a dog, which is the only reason I think I'm doing as well as I am this time around.
FWIW, I have a Black and Tan female kelpie. She's 1.5 years and is a complete weirdo and I adore her. Her name is Tilly.
THE WIZARDS UNITE FANDOM WIKI
I've been contributing to the Fandom Wiki for this game for a while now. Adding content to the Wiki has helped me to learn more about how this game works. There is a small pool of people that are helping to add content, and working with them has been really lovely. One of the users is working on a template where we can recreate our Ministry ID on our Userpages. They just need to code up how our information regarding our Wands is displayed and it'll be good to go. And I feel like such a geek for getting excited about that. I don't think I'm personally interested in uploading my own picture from my Ministry in the game, but I know this is something others would like to show off. So far I've only ever shared my pics my friends privately because they're kinda ridiculous. The pictures that is, not my friends. 😅
At a time when my ability to play Wizards Unite is hampered, this Wiki has been providing me another outlet to keep me engaged with the game, and looking forward to finding new ways I can still play it while isolated/immobile.

I am grateful for my lovely little Discord team who keep me entertained at all waking (and sleeping) hours.
I love my animals too, and have two beautiful cats, Professor McGonagall and Ginny Weasley.
I really love sunshine. I am fortunate enough to live and work in a beautiful, tropical country, with wonderful scenery. Here are a couple of local photos I took before the virus hit.

@Lucoire Suitably aspirational! Just out of interest, what makes you smile after a long, hard day?

I don't have those anymore. As a Libra, I always aim for balance. As such, I gradually reshaped my private and work-life to no longer swing between extreme stress and extreme relaxation; instead I live a life that I don't need a holiday from.
So what makes me smile doesn't depend on the situation or the absense of "hard times". It is realizing that we live in a better world than our ancestors; it is appreciating that there are people out there continuously trying to improve themselves, the society, the technology, the education, the culture and the environment/world.
It's a calm, tranquil smile.
Also food.
Magpie, that "floating island" image looks like it would be a wonderful PoI spot or 20.
How many L17 cells is it (HP is 1 PoI per L17, right)
HP is 1 PoI per L17, right
@Keybounce 1 POI per L17 Cell, for the most part. There are some exceptions though.
