Help - sudden ridiculous data usage

Hi,
I´ve been playing this game since release, and while data usage is not insignificant, I can accept the normal usage, which has been (for me) something around 50 MB a day (sometimes less, sometime more of course). I play quite a lot, I would say 3 hours a day on data.
BUT recently I have encountered a problem with truly massive data usage - today it took 145 MB of my data in an hour (and 90 MB off wifi in the very same hour). I was not even playing extensively, just went to an inn a few times (was at work, so both wifi and data on, but wifi is not very strong, so it switches to data sometimes). Lately today, it got through another 70 MB of data withing a 10 minute walk and 2 fortress battles. Seriously, this is silly and I can´t afford to burn through data like that.
Do you have any idea what could be causing such an increase in data consumption?
I have checked for new assets of course, but there is nothing. I play on Redmi Note 4, Android 6.0, Miui global 10.2.1.0.
Before you tell me to reinstall and download all 4 GB of assets again, let me tell you that I have reinstalled last week for another problem (reinstall did not help, but then I found and fixed the problem). Downloading assets was interrupted (probably because it takes ages and wifi glitched during that time), but then the game allowed me to continue with the download. After that, I also observed increased data consumption, so I´ve thought - probably a corrupted file or something. So I deleted all app data and downloaded assets again - this time no interruptions. That seemed to have worked.
That was on Monday. Now it is Friday and out of nowhere, the data consumption is through the roof. What could the problem be?
I really want to play, especially during the CD on Sunday, I need to solve this.

In addition to major releases, we release smaller updates that has new data. We recently released a small update in the later half of this week. The other thing that could lead to increased data consumption is Adventure Sync.

Why does Adventure Sync need data for? And could it be this much?

Same Problem here. In my case the update seems to have been the reason:
As already happened once in October 2019, a huge amount of my mobile data got used up today because the app just downloaded all new resources in the background without warning or notification. Since I was not at home all day it used up 675 MB of my mobile data which is more then one fifth of my monthly volume.

I would really appreciate some kind of warning or notification before the app sneakily starts using up tremendous amounts of mobile data.
Sorry, somehow the Screenshots weren't placed where I wanted them to be. But I think you can get the point anyways.
My data usage was not directly connected to the update, which is why I am looking for the reason.
Well for now, I´ve done full factory reset, since it seemed to be specific to me and therefore probably something with game-phone communication. That helped but I hope it lasts for more than 4 days this time.
If anyone has an idea what could have caused this, I am still interested.
Its probably, others just not susceptible for some hundreds MB of data (ex, if monthly volume is over GB, or have many data traffic such streaming, those hundreds MB maybe will not be notice). My HPWu usage log from 20 feb its about 120 MB, is it alot?
Last month usage is more than 1 GB, but there was update isn it?
