tempted as i might be to focus my 3 hours on collecting guaranteed horned serpent egg fragments (currently at 15/40) via fortress grrrinding at Tower5 and picking up the special 2k portkey portmanteaus for unlocking later, i might just spend the whole 3 hours getting as many doxies (currently at 5/100) and horned serpents (currently at 7/21) and leprechauns (currently at 32/60) as i can ... and still pick up as many of the horned serpent egg fragment-bearing 2k portmanteaus as i have room for.
@kiheikid I like you maxed centaur bows just yesterday and prestiged, but that does me absolutely no good for this community day. My horned serpent eggs are at 11/20 right now, but everything else on that page is just about complete. I’m going to try to get as many HSE as I can in the next week, so I can make the most of community day.
The rewards are odd. No full potion ingredients. Instead bits of potent, healing, dawdle and baruffio. Yet tonics will be used in excess. If you are just walking around you'll need 12 tonics. Ouch! Even with renting a cauldron that's some serious ingredients drain.
@MrSciGuy - yup, in your situation, HSE and prestiging first definitely are the priorities. do you plan to focus on fortress battles at Tower 5, or unlocking the special 2km portmanteaus, or combo of both ?
@kiheikid Im going to use as many oddities runestones over the next week as I can and then take it from there. But the fastest way I would reckon would be fortress battles on community day.
@XpectoGO says that you can effectively extend the CD by almost another 15 mins by popping a Tonic for Trace Detection right before the end of the event (but do not cut it too close) ... suggesting that a TTD started before the end of CD will still carry with it the CD benefits of the TTD (10 spawns in 15 minutes rather than normal 30 mins, increasing chances of trace encounters of featured Oddities) even after end of CD until expiration ofTTD
this is consistent with the experience of da missus with the previous book event earlier this month, when she popped a 30 min TTD only 15 minutes before end of the book event and still got werewolves and fluffies from the TTD for the duration of the TTD past the end of book event

Also doxies is hard to find so there's chance can finish to gold frame *doxies gold frame fragment is 200* and good luck!
