Volume levels are too loud

You might think this is a bad complaint. If the volume is too loud, lower the phone volume, right?
No. Please.
First, I don't want to have to constantly lower the volume when playing HWPU, and raise it back up for anything/everything else.
Second, if I want to have my podcasts playing in the background while playing -- and I do -- then I can't hear my podcasts when there is ANYTHING happening in-game.
I have turned the game music off. But I need the sound effects, and this means that every encounter is too loud.
Basically: Determine what is the actual sound level standard (hmm, every podcast I listen to, regardless of source, is balanced to the same volume level in the non-commercials section, hmm...), and keep the sound levels of the game at that point. PLEASE.
My ears will thank you.

What about 4 options:
I keep both the music and sound effects turned off, so the volume thing doesn't bug me at all. However, I'm not an expert, but it does seem like slider bars to adjust both the music and sound effect volume should be a fairly simple thing. Yes vote.
