How do I record a video?

How can I record a video of my gameplay? For example, if I wanted to take detailed looks around all of the portkey locations?

Ideally, I'd like to record my microphone with the video. Game sounds are optional; if I can't have both, then fine.

Hardware: iOS 13 iPhone 11.

I note that the game's config settings includes an option to save a still picture when I record video, but I can't figure out how to record video. My one attempt so far with the built-in OS screen recorder would not record the mic with my comments.

Swipe down from upper right-hand corner of your screen and you’ll see a screen recording button there. If not, on your phone go to Settings - Control Center - Customize Controls to add Screen Recording.

Oh, and if you hold your finger down on the screen recording button, it brings up the additional option to turn your microphone on/off.

Thank you. I can now record with microphone.

Why do the gameplay sounds go very very soft? I can barely hear them.

Please don't say "The machine doesn't want to record what it plays out." That sort of echo cancellation is a long-solved problem now.

10 points to Slytherin for @Acumen’s reply.

Alright, I want to ask this again, perhaps a little differently.

Your question isn't related to the game at all.

    Oh?

In Settings for HPWU, there is an option to save a picture when I save a video. So, how do I record a video from the game, while in the game?

I have seen people who capture a tall screenshot of all their rewards from an encounter, but that is far taller than my phone's screencapture will take. So how do I capture something that to the game is one image, but to the phone is multiple screens?

In other words, it looks like there is some sort of camera/video features built into the game, and I can't find them. So, help?

Certain Foundables have a "Foto Mode", which allows you to place them in an AR-Environment (consisting of a background imported from your phone's camera & the foreground taken from your registry). Examples for that are Rubeus Hagrid, Young Luna Lovegood, Professor Snape and the Mooncalf. To see which foundables can be used for that mode, tap on the "photo"-Icon in the top left section of the scrollable Registry Page.

This is takes a VIDEO instead of "just" a photo because all Foundables (and photos in the Wizarding World of Harry Potter) are animated, which in HPWU is implemented as Video.

Any other "Video" that people take of their game is something they use other Applications for.

You took my reply to your second question out of context, @Keybounce. Not cool. I was replying to your question about the microphone. That’s not related to the game at all. Your sound mutes anytime you activate the microphone whether you’re playing the game, or playing music.

But yeah, even the original question felt unrelated. It’s like asking for a button in the game that’ll allow you to place a phone call or text your mom. Why build into the game what your phone’s native apps can already do?

I understand being confused about the “always save still picture when saving a video”, but that’s just for the cute AR pics we can take, as @Lucoire.
