@ClairabusGryff - yes, cloudy but no rain. as for trace, it takes some practice. the last straight line that “bisects” the usual last arc has to be at the right “height”/angle (don’t remember my geometry terminology any more). too high and you get the red dot below. too low and you get the red dot above. but hopefully no “too slow” message because purpose is to cut some time off doing three quick straight lines with two changes of direction. i think of it as tracing three-fifths of a five-pointed star without lifting up your finger. it seems to work for me (most of the time) but it might take a bit of practice.

edit: just did the trace for a nimbus2000 and i think my example trace in screenshot above had the “angle” too high on the arc. i’ll try to do a few more real traces to get a better feel for where more precisely on the arc that the third stroke should cross, and then do another screenshot with drawing of trace on it

somewhat complicated because the glyph to be traced is positioned, relative to the ice block, in a different place for each kind of ice block foundable ... but the last stroke should be angled lower (like marked on this screenshot, compared to markings on previous screenshot). i experimented with about 10 spellcast tracings in two traces - hag and nimbus - and started intentionally high and low to get the red dot so i could narrow in on the right angle. unfortunately i could not use the ice block as a consistent reference point because ice block position is different (relative to glyph) depending on which foundable.
