Hey there, Wizards!

1 - Could anyone let me know - how does Critical damage can be casted? Or it's random?

2 - Only 1 spell has dots which are out of casting line. What is the function?

THANK YOU in advance!

Only Masterful for everyone!

I remember seeing the red dot, and I think it appears when you messed up and need to do the cast again. ;)

    Hello !

I can only answer for the first question.

As far as i know, critical hits chance is equal to your precision stat in percent. It doesn't seem to be linked to how good you did your spell since I landed some while doing crappy signs...

It's on the line...till you tap it...then it dissapears fast and if you will be fast enought to catch it - the color of cast will turn into red ( looks so)/ but no sign of crit or something like/ even i didnt notice more inflicted damage.

Critical Damage occurs on Critical hits, which is based on your precision chance. There isn’t anything you can do other than increase your precision chance to trigger a critical hit. Aurors have the highest critical chance and damage .

DOTs is damage over time some hexes will cause damage to foes over time

    Here's my take on this...

I heard/read this somewhere and it seems consistent with my experience so far. The first red dot you see immediately following the alignment part of your cast (When the spell trace appears) defines where your finger needs to swipe over to initiate a critical hit. You'll notice that if you fail to cast immediately the red dot will disappear and so does your chance or increased chance to land a critical hit. Any other red dot that appears signifies where on the trace your spell was incomplete. Still testing this theory.

The only thing I've discovered so far is that fortress combat (at least, not at the early levels that I'm currently playing at) doesn't seem to require the same speed as catching foundables. In fact, my performance in fights improved when I slowed down in the fortress fights and concentrated on accuracy (not super slow, but maybe quarter the speed I cast 'great' casts at outside). Would be interested to hear if anyone else has found that to be the case too?
