Hi All,
Wanted to herald in the New Year, nay, New Decade! With wishes that Wizards Unite & all the joy it brings to our lives, and this forum equally so....will continue to go from strength to strength!!
The development from those early days - (remember having to wait through the whooooole animation! Lol- to be fair though- they are awesome your first 100 times or so- no doubt about it!)
To the progress made that has all showed a dedication to listening to feedback on here and to the genius of whoever they are that come up with the event/challenge ideas...(@Owlx u defo need be on that team btw they missing a trick there!)
I know so many have said throughout this year about how the game is improving their quality of life- i just want to try & give a perspective on that one- I never ever thought a 'game' could change my life! But it arrived exactly at the time my world was crumbling around me, and without my love of Harry Potter ishness (!?) - its a word!! Honest!! And the perfect timing, I would not have found the tough times as bearable. This wonderful realm I escape to every day, with....(i think this is the key part) daily challenges to aim for that force me out of the house- monthly events & my built in competative battle with myself I have to say- NO- you will not fail....not today my friend!!! And i join in, maybe even for a half hour- but it brings me maybe the only half hour that day that is fun, focused on just me, just the joy of it (unless it is McGonagall who departs with my joy & i get soooo mad at the game for about 5 whole mins!! Until i see another glowing symbol on the map and think oooh- bet that's gobstones!! And suddenly a masterful ebulio & all is right with the world!) .
So here's to 2020 being another year for this game to grow to new heights. More importantly for the forum I hope to bring people together more, I know we must keep chat game related, but over time we all learn to bend that a bit to fit in a few comments that let our personalities come through, we connect, we support and we do actually at the core of it simply want to help make every players day that bit better if we can. We care! Using techy help/empathy/humour....whatever it may be.
Id love to see this forum grow to a solid place of support for us all through celebrating the awesome, and reporting the not so awesome for the devs to fix....quick!! Aaarrggh- that dark day my game wouldnt open!! Woah....just got palpitations then thinking about it!! 😂
Aaaaanyway.....Happy New Year for midnight local time (😂- nope- im not goin there) and may all our days be filled with joy and our spellcasting be true

So well put and you took the words right out of my mouth @AuroraKadavra ! Thank you for articulating my thoughts exactly. My 16 year old daughter just told me “mom, you are in such a weird mood” and I told her we are on the even of a new decade and 2020 is going to be an epic, awesome, fantastic, beautiful, fun-filled, new year! I will turn 50, my only miracle child will start her senior year of high school, and also my daughter is starting her fitness modeling career. And lastly we will start planning our trip to Europe. So all in all it is going to be a fantastic year. Only positivity!
most importantly I can’t wait to see what the HPWU team roles out this year!!

@ClairabusGryff that's exactly the mindset I'm taking into 2020!! Il also turn 50 at the end of it, and I insist that I will be ok with that cos I've done so many epic things this year!!
My youngest daughter will finish high school & start college & I have so many travel plans I just need to save for..
It sounds like you have your hands full but you are going to be awesome & achieve your dreams- as will your daughter! 😊
I always trust my gut, its never weong, and it tells me you are a superstar & will have an epic year 😀😍🎉

sounds like we are the same age and similar situation with our kiddos. And my travel list of where I want to go is so long. I have been to 25 countries but want to go to the rest of them (minus some middle eastern countries were women are second class citizens and that whole war/terrorist) thing but the rest of them I am game for.
I hope your 2020 is going to be as epic as mine!!

Heres to the both of us and @Owlx (dont worry, we wont mention our landmark age we reach this year- ssssh- our secret) 😂 achieving our dreams, fuelled by the love of this game- to get that 'play in another country' achievement asap!!

@Dewin99 i really look forward to meeting you at the studios tour- @OriginalCaruso I think we should set a date that fits with dewin for the may half term & then we can book our tickets? And others too from that thread.
Then if some can't make that then oh dear im just gonna haf to go twice & fit a trip in later in the year to meet others!!! Its a tough call but i gotta do it 😂😂😂

When are we thinking? My timetable totally free as yet- my travels this year are going to be a bit 'off the cuff' so I'm easy with times? Half term @Dewin99 or weekend? Did i remember right that you're a teacher?
@AuroraKadavra Correct. Either would suit, as long as I have plenty of notice to stock up on potions!
@OriginalCaruso shall we arrange for the half term first weekend? Then @Dewin99 still has the week after to catch up on the copious amounts of paperwork that i know comes with teaching!! What date would that be dewin? The saturday or sunday of start of half term? I dont mind which day- not sure if u have a preference caruso?
Have u opened Dark V @Dewin99 - we totally smashed us 3 as a magi, prof & auror- winning combo it seems. But mines still in red as it was just the once- looking forward to seeing it in white 😀
@AuroraKadavra @Dewin99 Saturday or Sunday please - set the date and I will do my best to be there, lots going on this year, house move and I have yet to find out how all-consuming my new job will be
15th/16th of February I think. I’ve successfully soloed Dark IV, haven’t tried Dark V, but I have ‘opened’ it.
Saying that, I only use L4 & L5 runestones in Dark chambers, so I think I could do it if I put my mind to it.
@Dewin99 - Good luck with Dark 5 solo, I know I couldn’t manage it solo

May 2020 be your best year ever.
It's been great seeing my favorite characters from the story in an interactive environment. I've met some lovely people, both in my own city and here in this community forum. Communicating with the development team and seeing updates roll out based on community feedback is something I've never experienced while playing any other games, and that's been a real treat.
To all, developers and players alike, I hope the coming year is filled with good magic.

So wonderful to read comments from others who have had their lives enriched by the game & the forum.
Im excited for the events this coming month to help shake off the winter blues & speed time along to spring (have i mentioned I hate winter!!) Lol
Im excited to be meeting up with Caruso again & meeting Dewin. Im also flying to the States in summer to meet up with members I met on here who I'm now honoured to call true friends! And very much looking forward to meeting up at the studios tour too!!
So thats 2 cities in UK and a trip to USA all because of this forum! I think that's epic!!

Sorry for my belated response. I tend to reduce my screen time when my kids are out of school for the holidays.
I hope everyone has a magnificent 2020 year filled with awesome wizarding events and making many more wonderful memories.
I am sitting here in my Idaho home watching it snow while my husband guided my older son in building a robotic car (which he has to code himself for it to run!). My daughter just brought me a hot cuppa- and my youngest is climbing off and on my lap repeatedly because at 4 - he just can’t quite sit still. 😄
I feel very blessed this year.
My grandma survived a rather serious bout of Rocky Mountain tick fever. I thought I was flying out for a funeral and somehow she stubbornly pulled through and I am so happy to have her around for another grand year.
My business is making a comeback following some unfortunate events.
We celebrated our first holiday season in our very first house that we bought this past summer. 🤩
My sister passed her GRE and will be going to grad school.
My brother got a promotion at his job.
And my hubby might possibly be attending a work conference in Austria which grants me a travel opportunity 🥳
so one one more time. HAPPY NEW YEAR my wizard friends! 🎊
