@SIRlUSBLACK - i can’t speak for others here (besonders die lauten leute, die keine ahnung haben), but for me, having that many scrolls left over is neither a goal nor a badge of honor. rather, it simply is a sad commentary on the skewed in-game economy that niantic/HPWU has set up, where too much currency (in this case, scrolls that have less value than toilet paper or gum wrappers) contrasts with too little goods (in this case, professional skill tree lessons that cannot be bought/earned with scrolls outright, and instead sit waiting to be bought/earned with scarce red books and scarce green books that cannot be exchanged for any price in scrolls). i am hoping that the visual aids of seeing obscene amounts of unused scrolls in our vaults will help convince @HPWUTeam that the skewed pricing indeed is an in-game structural problem that needs fixing (but if they stick to pattern, they would probably make turn getting 10,000 scrolls into an achievement rewarded with another 50 scrolls!)
@kiheikid Was that a special message for me? If so, it really made me giggle. And I do agree that something needs to change, and I hope it is a mechanic where you can trade 100 scrolls for a red book. That way, those casual players who need more scrolls can still get them, but there is an alternative for those drowning under them.

@Magpie31 - ja, hier gibt es ein bestimmte Blockflötengesicht, wer nicht gennant werden soll, aber ihr du und ich beide kennen. es tut mir leid, wenn das ein bischen unhoeflich klingt! als ich student war, konnte ich auf deutsch denken ... leider nicht mehr.
@WerewolfChaser - thank you, yes i did see ... and am grateful that you so effectively showed the nerf with a visual aid. it might or might not help convince @HPWUTeam there is a problem, but it certainly convinced me.

@kiheikid Yes, the first joke made me giggle because I got the reference. But I'm not sure continuing is a good idea. Firstly, namecalling is against the community guidelines, so we need to be careful not to cross that line, whatever language it is in. Secondly, as @Dewin99 pointed out, it's not really inclusive or community spirited to use German like a secret language! Oh look, my Hufflepuff's showing!
I really appreciate you wanting to have a joke and build that rapport and relationship - and I love that you have taken on board the fact that I am half German and use that. But I'm just not sure it is the right forum for it, that's all.
This is where private messaging or in app communication would be good, so we could have our conversations and in-jokes without it becoming exclusionary or mean-spirited.

to anyone else whose name is not whom i addressed, google translate or not to your heart’s content. but the message is not intended for you if i did not address you. and if you were to address someone else here (ie, not me) in welsh or russian or japanese or arabic or swahili, i would not feel the urgency to run to google translate. by the way, mr. mooney presents his compliments, and we’ll leave mr. prongs out of this. 😉
@AuroraKadavra It hasn't become that. Or at least, I hope it hasn't. I hope that we have got back on track. I asked a couple of posts before your comment that we stop any unkindness.
I don't think it was intended to be malicious. Rather, it was ongoing frustration that bubbled over. In any community this size, there are going to be personalities that don't gel and cause conflict. It is how we handle that conflict that matters. This time, we didn't handle it well, and I probably shouldn't have laughed to start with, as it encouraged the situation.
I really hope that we can all move forward and get back to what matters. I am really sorry for my part in this.

@kiheikid did you see my post on level 5 runestones being nerfed. Will make the red book grind even more tiresome.
The drop rate has gone from just over 18% to just over over 6%.
