Does it regenerate? Do you get it only when leveling up? What’s the deal? I went a day and a half without playing bc i was out of energy and when I returned it was still the same. ☹️

It doesn't regenerate. You can only replenish it by visiting Inns, Greenhouses or purchasing it for gold if you run out (bad deal).
Yeah. But we can get 'em from rewards and achievements, those are good deals but buying them from Shop is the bad deal
If you don't mind paying real life money for energy or other items, go right ahead. Some do, some don't.
