I've made three posts today that when I hit "Submit", nothing shows up. It completely deletes the post. There was absolutely zero vulgarity or rudeness in these posts. What's the deal?
There is a notifiction. On Desktop it is displayed in the bottom left corner. Admitedly, it is VERY easy to miss due to it being tiny and disappearing quickly.
As for what triggers it, I don't know. Might be random, might be your overall activity (imagine "spam protection"), might be your overall post history (imagine "Post Karma")... who knows? ;)
I've had the same happen to me. This post is only my second one, sort of. My very first post was only a one word comment and it posted immediately, but my second (or maybe third? 🤷♀️) was lengthy and it is out in the abyss somewhere.
It takes awhile but eventually it shows up. At least for me idk about anyone else. Like if you type a page long paragraph it has to be reviewed and approved even tho when I first joined this community I don't remember any notification popping up about a comment needing to be reviewed 🤷🏽♀️👀

It wasn't deleted, rather it was "submitted for review" and will be posted once approved by moderators (or released from the zealous spam-filter).
A notification of such would be greatly appreciated. Instead, it just acts like I never submitted anything.
