This will be the last post for my weekly progress. As I have capped out the challenge rank it is hard to discern where I am at. This past week should be a good enough indicator for what it would be like from here out. I did use all level 5 runes this week. For those who don't know what this post is about, just above is week 3 progress with links to everything else.

@Lostboyjim not sure what this comment in reference to. I had been getting at least 2-4 books per day not per week. At that rate any profession would finish in about 6 months. Currently I am doing Dark 3. I believe I was getting over 1k challenge xp per lvl 5 rune (I've taken a break from Fortress to build up some rune stock the past month). That does indeed net me about 1 rank in half an hour even though I capped out at 150+. I will be finishing my lesson plan in November.
@Lostboyjim the pattern has remained consistent. Currently I am working Forest 5 with no. 5 runestones. I do 5 chamber battles in 40 minutes for 2500 CXP. When I don’t have potions to support these sessions, I drop down to Tower 5 with no. 4 runestones and clean house while I restock on potions.
@Ginnungagap Ya, I took a break. After 7 faithful years, my MacBook made its inevitable transition to the afterlife a few weeks ago. While I wait to reincarnate its soul into a suitable replacement, I didn’t fancy navigating the forum on my IP8 hence the break. I’m still shopping but in the mean time, I upgraded my phone to an IP11 ProMax. Mobile version of this site is lacking but doable now on a bigger screen.

Alright class, I need some input here. I finally maxed out my power (professor). Now I’m trying to figure out a game plan for how to best spend my red spell books in the future. Here’s where I’m at so far with stats that can be increased with red books:

@MrSciGuy proficiency power for better bang for your buck. For instance I have 100 power that means going from 100 to 140 proficiency power is 40 more damage every hit i.am proficient with. If you have 100 crit damage that is 80 additional damage on a crit. With crit power going from 100 to 120 that is 20 extra damage when you crit against anything, but if you only crit 1/4 of the time overall you will do far less additional damage from upping it vs proficiency power.
As a professor your 2 additional ranks gets you 46 more percent damage from proficiency power whereas your 2 ranks of critical power will only get you 20 additional percent for crit damage.
Excellent suggestions all around. @MrSciGuy I recommend getting your deficiency defence out of the way; you’ll be thankful when battling Fierce Dark Wizards.
@Dogoutlaw Hi!! 😀 I’m loving it! Game looks incredible on it. I’m a long time Eve Online fan and they are finally going mobile with Eve Echoes. Although I played for 10 years, I haven’t played in over 5 years and I’m so excited to be a pod pilot again. I don’t play much of anything that isn’t mobile nowadays and the ProMax was purchased with this in mind. I want the real estate without moving to an iPad, and an unparalleled experience worthy of a game like Eve.
@MrSciGuy my preference would be to next max out protego power and deficiency defense, in that order ... especially if you plan to go high in fortress chambers (not so much if you plan to stick to mid-level chambers to grind for challenge xp and save on potions, spell energy, and time)

Once I reached what I felt was an adequate level on some easier stats, I skipped straight to the bottom of the lesson plan and started working my way back. Just one more module left on Proficiency Power (21 red books), then one more on Critical Power (17 red books), then Power (14 red books), Accuracy (10 red books), and Max Focus (5 red books). I wouldn't call it much of a strategy, other than just wanting to knock out the lessons requiring the most spell books first.
Dude... @Ginnungagap, that's a LOT of scrolls, lol. Good golly, Miss Molly. I doubt I'll complete my red book requirements next month. Maybe by the end of the year though, if they keep up this new trend of throwing in a few extra spell books during events.

@Acumen you only have 4 more red book lessons. If you had a little more restricted spell books I think you'd be ahead of me. I need 45 more red books. I think that's roughly 90k more challenge xp. The Halloween event did help me with the elites. I'm over 500 out of 1000 for 15 more spell books from that achievement.

@kiheikid just two separate screenshots combined using a simple photo editor. I use **** on my laptop, which is free and can be customized to look and feel almost exactly like Photoshop, and I use ArtStudio on my phone. It’s silly, but I’m picky about presentation. 🤓

I mean, you're right.
But that means you are getting 2 (TWO) spell books per week. At that rate, it's going to take forever to complete Auror or Magizoologist.
Even with this strat, are you really getting 3k challenge EXP in 1/2 hour when doing the highest level you can?

@MrSciGuy also consider accuracy especially if the erkling dodge a lot. Crit power 1st. Because it helps everywhere.
