I was looking forward to a real battle, but was able to one shot everything in the event. I love the events and they are what keep me playing, but please make it so they’re actually a challenge when we’re fighting “scary” foes in the fortress. :)
the dark arts foundables that appeared more frequently today were not the rarer ones i was hoping to see (but so far today, i have not seen) ... eg, swooping evil, percival graves, and tom riddle jr.
@HPWULola thanks for all the tips for this event! I had fun completing the assignments. I was both excited and scared to see the basilisk in the chamber. Lol I actually thought the basilisk was going to come out of my phone screen and bite my face off. I am super excited to see what events are going to happen in the future!

Thanks to various of you for the encouragement, though I have grabbed a couple of basilisks with the higher level stones - just not with the many 1s or 2s yet!
@HPWULola The terrifying 🐍 could be more terrifying! I know it's important to make sure these events are inclusive enough that lower level players can get involved, but in future I'd love to see something less squishy. Maybe next time there's one of these events, you guys could do two special rooms, one for lower level characters and another with tougher beasties to fight? Sounds like lots of people are reluctant to drop their level 4 and 5 runestones in the Halloween chamber because it's so low level, so it would certainly help with that.
@KingZog It showed up less with the lower level runes, but still possible. It’s just random. I was playing solo for a while with low level runes and at one point I got three Basilisks in a row all with level 1 runes.
Great feedback everyone! I can completely see your point regarding the easiness of the Chamber. We did want to make this challenge accessible to all players, especially since we are just coming off a more challenging Brilliant Event. Still, this is important feedback to hear and will take this into consideration for future events!

I know someone else already mentioned something along these lines, but in the future if we got like 4 different chambers so that one is for level 4, one is for level 7, one is for level 11 and one is for the highest level (13 I think?) , I think that would be splendid, since people can pick and choose and it still includes everyone :)
@Imaginatio Yes, I had much better luck with them today. Found myself a rare lesser-spotted sponsored fortress and parked myself in a nearby cafe for half an hour. Basilisks were turning up at a rate of better than 1 out of every 3 runs even with level 1 and 2 runestones. SO MANY SNEKS!
Okay, so someone posted somewhere about the Basilisks being Elite foes. I can't find it now but I think it was @kiheikid . I didn't even notice that and wasn't going to bother going back to do more challenges today but when I saw that I did and got a bunch of progress on that achievement. So, thanks so much for that info!!
Also, I opened 8 portkeys this morning before I went out and got a ton of foundable fragments from them. Was that tied in to this event or did I just get really lucky?
