Having a issue with entering traces/foundables. The app freezes in loading mode. 1 out of 2 almost. I have to shut down and restart but then the trace is gone. Really annoying
I checked! Everything is up to date. My husband and daughter is having the same problem. Those are the only ones I know who’s playing so can’t ask if someone else here in Sweden also has the issue.
It’s kinda like a lottery. Sometimes it just stays on loading screen (tried waiting for 8 minutes, and the loading clock in bottom left corner moves, but nothing happens ) sometimes I enter the trace after 40-50 seconds and sometimes it loads directly. Weird and irritating
I had also previously downloaded all assets and kept on top of downloading new stuff .
I was surprised that when I went in at home on wi-fi (after hearing that there was no longer a red dot) and downloaded all assets that it was around 2,600+. I also noticed that I'd used way more data than usual when I was out that day.
It's well within my plan, as I usually only use 1/4 of my data allowance, but must be very frustrating for those with less data.
I don't mind the downloads if they're new stuff. My concern was that I might have wound up clogging up my phone with duplicate assets? Getting the impression that it's new files and am crossing my fingers that that is the case!
@HPWULola or anyone else who may know the answer. My friend hadn’t downloaded assets by Sat morning, and it wasn’t feasible at the time to download full assets, so he downloaded essential, thinking he could download full assets when he went home, using wifi. But after downloading essential assets, it appears he’s no longer allowed to download full assets. He taps it (it’s greyed out but tries anyway), and nothing happens. So is this a one time choice? If you want full, you have to only do that one and not essential?
@Dogoutlaw I just experimented by wiping the data and then going back into the game. I was able to download essential assets and then all assets so they are separate. It appears they are stored differently now, so people who had downloaded all assets before may simply have the assets it is expecting whereas essential was new and so noone had those.
@HPWULola I now have the persistant profession red dot. I was not a victim of this before. Red dots showed up in a lot of different unexpected places such as achievements, friends list, etc. It appears that it considered all of the friends and achievements new. Clicking on them made the dot disappear. However, whatever it is deciding for the profession is not synced and thus does not disappear even though nothing has a dot inside the profession. It seems like this information may well assist in seeing what is causing this as it should be very easy to reproduce and look at.
@Ginnungagap thanks for experimenting, although sorry if it lead to that outcome! I'm still not sure how to interpret your answer though. He definitely hadn't downloaded assets after the update. His game was terribly slow, and when he started the full download and saw how slow it was where we were, he cancelled it. So decided to do essential to get by and planned on full download later on wifi. But when he tried to do full download just an hour later, it wasn't an option anymore. And his game is still somewhat slow. I thought maybe if he deleted and reinstalled app, that would resolve the issue as he could then do the full download, but given the red dot bug on professions, I'm not sure that's the wisest course either... If it is a one time choice, that would be good to know, so that's why I asked the question. If you could do it, but he can't, is it a difference between OS's, or is something just up with his game specifically?
Ive also now got the persistent red dot on professions even though there are no lessons i can do. I suddenly get why people got annoyed cos i keep thinking a potion is ready perhaps but knew i had some hours to go. So it keeps making me check & then i remember there's nothing I need to do & it's a glich. Il pop it on the report a bug.
It's really not good if you're ocd inclined & the dot is always there! Drives u nuts! 😂
So there is still a red dot on professions, but now there isn't one on new assets when there needs to be.
When the big update for the event hit, my phone burned through 750mb of mobile data, slowing the game to a crash fest while it was at it before I realised what had happened.
It's pretty easy for me to update on wifi before I go out, but I don't want to have to check whether I need to everytime I start the game up.
I'm curious, since there was a new AR photo experience added here with the snitch... Is the plan to add more and more over time until eventually theoretically all of them would have the experience available? Would love to take a kneazle photo!
I didn't post at the time, but thanks to getting a glimpse of the forum before heading out, I checked assets, and indeed, although it lacked a dot, I could download assets. It was a large number of files so I was also worried about this being a error or somehow messing up the game, but it worked out fine, thankfully. However, now I find myself checking it repeatedly, just in case I need to download more, and it's becoming a bit of a bother. Then, on top of that, the irony of the persistent red dot on professions... ;)
@HPWULola so the button "I'm ready" seems great but at the moment my partner and I only see the space for it and no button of any kind.
There are several other things that also don't seem to work properly since the start. For instance, neither of us can see the profile picture and some other informations of the people we have in our friends list.

For our friends its a known issue from a while back they are working on that only the kms walked shows up. Theres a thread about it somewhere, il pop link on if i can find it.
I think the profile pic is deliberate though, they are meant to be kept private. There has been a call from players for the option to share this if they like. It's all still in the pipeworks.

@Ministrumpan Just to make sure, have you downloaded all assets? Even if there's no red dot, you might want to check just in case.

I still do not have the option to skip the timer in fortress. solo or in group play.

I was sooooo looking forward to this, I saw it one time and then never again.. 😕
The start button is on hold for now. They couldn't get it to work properly and so it was removed for everyone.
