    Please please please, disable the “”Persistent Red Dot Of Annoyance And Distraction”” on the Professions Pages and on the Main page. I’m pretty sure that more people are Annoyed as Heck (being polite) by that red dot constantly being up on the map and suitcase pages than the red dot that was showing on the Assets information!!!!!!!

    With the new update all assets I've ever downloaded were gone!

    My data volume for this month is almost gone since there was no free WiFi around and no warning either.

    Now I have to buy additional data volume for this month to keep playing and finish the event. This is quite expensive and really annoying!

    @AuroraKadavra Are you still experiencing this issue? What action are you performing in the app that causes a crash?

    @Adrabella and everyone: The 'Ready' button is on hold until almost everyone has updated to 2.5! I'll give you an update when that happens.

    @Adrabella There is a new "download essential assets" in the menu. If you had previously downloaded assets, you should choose this option now with the update. I noticed the fortress was being very slow to load anything and it was because I needed to redownload these assets.

    @HPWUROBERT, I noticed huge data consumption today (> 600MB) and trying to figure out the reason found that I was offered to download more than 2600 assets.

    I always downloaded all available assets and just two days ago had them updated.

    My husband had the same problem with his account and lost even more data volume (~ 1GB).

    @HermioneG13 This worked for @AuroraKadavra

    1) Clear cache and data

    2) Uninstall the app

    3) Reinstall the app

    4) Log into the app

    5) Go into settings and download essential assets.

    Has anyone noticed achievements resetting from this update?

    I've completed 103/134 Professor lessons , but the achievement "Professor Lesson Plans Completed I" has reset and now has me at 0/1.

    @Lycindelle got it. For the purpose of this explanation, I will not be referring to the Download Essential Assets option.


    When you choose the option to Download All Assets you are downloading everything in the current build. Once a new build becomes available, choosing the Download All Assets option allows you to download the new files between the previous build and the newest one. Our updates are never configured to uninstall previously downloaded assets from your device. Uninstalling the app is pretty much the only way the data gets deleted from your device.

    I can understand how downloading 2,600 new files can raise some red flags, but that number isn't necessarily an indication that your game files were uninstalled. To give you some anecdotal context, downloading all of version 2.1's assets for me was about 3,300 files.

    Generally, updates can include features or events that will be made available at a later date. It's very common to package additional things in one big release rather than have minor releases that force players to constantly update the game in their app stores.


    I'm not sure what you mean by this, "My husband had the same problem with his account and lost even more data volume (~ 1GB)." Did you mean that your husband consumed about 1 gb of data?

    • [Profession] Lesson Plans Completed is counted when the entire Lesson Plan is completed. In your case 134/134 Lesson nodes must be completed in order to fulfill the requirements of this achievement.
    • [Profession Lessons Mastered is counted per Lesson node you complete


    If you're at 103/134 Professor Lesson (nodes) completed, then the game is correct that the [Profession] Lesson Plans Completed achievement shows 0/1

    @HPWUrobert I had Downloaded All Assets for the previous version, and at any time when available.

    As of installing version 2.5, I had to install 2930 files. Fortunately, the weather has been terrible, and I was at home, so all went through the wi-fi connection.

    It may be a good idea to communicate this news, if that happens after all new versions. It was over 520Mo for me, for people with limited data plans it's a killer.

    @HPWUrobert That page is only useful if you notice a high data consumption, after the fact.

    And this time, there was no red dot to inform you of new assets to download.


    The Download process was also quite heavy. At first, it looked like the app stopped responding. I force-closed it.

    On the second try, I tapped Download All Assets, and just let the phone do its thing. Around a minute later, I was given the option to download. Aand after that I didn't even count how long it took to download the nearly 3000 assets, I had stuff to embroider.

    Apparently we’re supposed to be able to skip the countdown timer when waiting for a fortress battle to begin, even when solo. I couldn’t find a way to do this. The only thing different I saw was a feather after the runestone I chose. Am I missing something? @HPWULola @HPWUrobert

    @MrSciGuy The feature will be live once more players have updated their app to 2.5.0. Since this is a group feature, we had to hold it until the majority of players have it available.

    Yes, my husband consumed almost 1 GB of data before realizing it. He wasn't home all day and had no free WiFi around.

    Usually we download the assets at home where we have a WiFi-connection.

    It's too bad if there isn't any information or warning before a release that big. There wasn't any hint after starting the game either, the download process just seems to have started by itself.

    This way we had no chance to choose the advantageous way and a lot of our limited data volume was used up. ☹️

    @Adrabella it sounds like you may need to download assets. The red dot may not be there, but check anyways. And if you haven't downloaded assets since you upgraded, you'll definitely want to be on some wifi with plenty of time. It took mine a long time to download.

    ranked twice - ministry of magic and oddities - with proper animation sequence showing scrolls and runestone and no app freezing


    now if only they would fix the animation sequence for spell energy rewarded in the inns ...

    Hello @HPWUrobert , just to show you, what happened to my data consumption yesterday.

    I play HPWU every day so you can see how much data volume is needed usually. This is what happened after the update yesterday:

    10.10.: 68,46 MB

    11.10.: 17,84 MB

    12.10.: 41,79 MB

    13.10.: 8,96 MB

    14.10.: 62,26 MB

    15.10.: 77,31 MB

    16.10.: 885 MB

    No, there is no comma missing. I would have sent a screenshot if that would have been possible.

    There was no information, no warning, no options to choose, not even a red button anywhere around. This happened by just going outside and playing the game as usual.


    My advice for everyone: When you get the update, check your assets before playing!!!

    @HPWULola 😂 yeh- i do get rather animated about this game lol!

    I'm all good now thankyou! The anazing @Ginnungagap helped me sort it thank you. All working fine with the new version from play store 😊 phew.

    I think it was the not clearing cache & data first b4 installing new version had caused the problems? Too techy for me but Im good to go & cant wait til Sat!! Woohoo!! 😀

    Oh I'm so looking forward to visiting a greenhouse and definitely getting SE from it!!! Pfew, I have to walk a lot in this area to get anything, and with more greenhouses in the vicinity I was NOT happy about them taking up POI's. This definitely helps a LOT, thank you!


    Not to be greedy, but any chance of something like that for fortresses as well? For example, when I'm in Ravenswaaij (Netherlands, Gelderland, Buren) there's only a fortress there, anything else is too far away to walk. Well, I could manage one way, but then how would I make it back lol, and it's a very dangerous road for a pedestrian. So, if I can't have other POI's in Ravenswaaij, getting SE from a fortress would help play for a couple of days longer when I'm there.


    Though, as a solo player it is really great that I won't have to wait so long anymore to enter a chamber, really looking forward to trying that feature out too. Thanks!

    HPWULola for some reason it won’t let me link you but you said that this update would remove the persistent red dot not remove it entirely so there is no notification at all. However, the app updated itself and I did not even know it had updated, but I checked for the red dot for assets as I do every day which wasn’t there so I assumed there were no assets to download. But all of my mobile data was used up today, I don’t know exactly how much was used, but I never run out of data and I wasn’t using it for anything other than wizards unite. I can only assume it used more data because I hadn’t not downloaded assets as the game didn’t not notify me that I needed to. The red dot needs to be fixed so that it initially notifies of assets available to avoid unintended mobile data usage.
