this thread is directed to only the HPWU app folks who run this board (including @HPWULola and @HPWUMicah and @HPWUFazes - the only specific names i know), and not to other members who seem unable to resist forcing their way into someone else’s discussion/conversation
please create a safe place for any person to report directly to the HPWU developer team any bug, complaint, suggestion, etc. regarding the HPWU app, without the harassment of certain members here who disagree with the reporting person’s perspective. those other members have no ability to fix what is being reported/suggested/complained about because they are not part of the HPWU developer team (though one might wonder why exactly these other members behave as they do if they are not on the HPWU payroll), yet they insist on butting into a discussion that the reporting person is trying to have with the HPWU development team.
there still can be a separate place in the forum where free discussion between and among different players can take place, but that kind of discussion should not be allowed in the safe place.
i know that if there had been such a safe place with protective measures in place for the reporting person, much of the agitation could have been averted. and it is true that i was a newbie who made his first report in an announcement thread rather than the report-a-bug thread but it still would have made little difference as long as there is no such safe place
since i first joined, i have searched this forum for various topics and have seen repeated instances of persons who are trying to report or suggest something directly to the HPWU developer team, and others, who have no ability to fix or implement what is being reported or suggested, are butting in and harassing the reporting person in over-aggressive dialog or attempting to invalidate the reporting person’s ideas or concerns. that is the complete opposite of a safe place.
i implore you to create the much needed safe place - better late than never.

if the harassment continues in this thread as it has in other threads where i have commented, that will only strengthen the case for why the safe place is needed.

There already is a means to report issues directly to the developers:
i am confused as to since when reporting something to a bot became preferable to talking directly to the HPWU development team members with the ability to address bug fixes and suggestions (and without interruption, interference, invalidation, and harassment from others whose are not in the chain of command at HPWU’s development team).
i know i certainly do not prefer dealing with a bot, so i stand by my original request, even if the bot suggestion were offered with good intentions

please rest assured that i did indeed use support bot multiple times, but with no comfort or assurance that anything was getting done
at least here in this forum, @HPWULola was kind enough to get back to me on a matter by responding to my post and tagging me so that i was notified of same
the report-a-bug section is here for a reason, so i do not believe one should be forced to use a bot. moreover, i believe that a direct line of communication from a reporting person to @hpwu development team members, free from interference and harassment and invalidation by other players, is essential - hence my request for the safe place for reporting. you and/or others might have a different opinion, and if you want to start a discussion elsewhere, please feel free. but please also note, as stated in first paragraph of opening post (OP) of this thread, that i am intending my statements in this thread to be for the @hpwu development team only, not anyone else no matter how well-intentioned. i hope that can be respected here, even before a safe space in this forum is created (i hope)!in response to this thread. and if it is not respected, ie., if others here who are not the addressees in the OP continue to attempt to transform this thread into a widespread discussion despite that being directly contrary to the express intent and wishes set forth in the OP, then that is just further proof positive of the urgent need for the safe space requested.
that really is more than i intended to get into with anyone here other than @hpwu development team. maybe the @hpwu development team can lock this thread (as they have done to certain other threads in the past) to close out this diversion from the OP.
