Another update: I got the task done. I don't know why my first Malfoy crest didn't register. But the 4th one I got out of the fortress completed the task.
If you guys got any crests before reaching the task asking for the three Malfoy family crests, then they will not register as part of the task. The task only registers the crests that you get while you are on that stage. If however you got the crests while on that stage and it didn’t register as part of the task then I would suggest reporting it in the app.
I'm having the same issue. I got one before it was a requirement. Now I have 3, but of course I need one more to complete the task. I've done numerous fortress battles, but I'm receiving no more Malfoy crests. It's very annoying. I've reported it in the app.

Update:. I have gotten three for my registry. Placed it in my registry. But in my stage 3 tasks. It shows 2/3. :/
