'Boot licker' 😂😂😂😂 oh my!!! @Acumen that's proper cracked me up!!!

The fact i love the game & like to talk about how exciting it is & fun defo makes me one of the 'faithful' I'm sure. What was it...rah rah rah gang or something? Yay!! Rah rah wizards unite, rah rah wizards unite!! Lol

Thing is- i have also stated plainly when there are bugs affecting the game for me, ive posted in app feedback & issues about all sorts. But i just stated what was wrong & asked could they try to fix it please? And they do! Ish...well...its coming on some issues lol, but we know they are dealing with it. So- happy days! Crack on with enjoying it.

However the language & rhetoric used in every post he did i felt was ironically pertinent to himself. To say about condescending & insulting I think it was- when his post couldnt have been more condescending & insulting if it tried!

Anyway, glad we can all breathe a sigh of relief & enjoy coming here to chat about everything without feeling like we need to shower afterwards! Lololol- seriously crack me up!!

God I love you lot, I really do! But, please remember our posts can be seen. It’s still a part of the forum. I don’t want this to go sideways. I really hesitated with this thread because I didn’t want it to become a taking of sides. (And I know I’m not completely innocent... still learning). But when I saw someone say they were scared to post good experiences at risk of being called “gloating,” it hit me just how he was affecting members. It made me really sad and upset. And then I realized members maybe didn’t realize their options here. Hence the post. For all I knew, everyone would use it to block me!😂 So anyways, I’m glad we have a way to carry on having fun here. It’s not perfect, but it’s better than nothing.

And @AuroraKadavra , yes, I’ve noticed some regular members have been more quiet. Including Werewolfchaser. I don’t know how much of it is just life keeping them away, if they’re lurking, or if they are intentionally staying away. Hopefully we’ll hear from them again.

Yeah, @Dogoutlaw, I was just reading about the ignore plugin for this platform, and it definitely isn't perfect. I would like it much better if ignoring a user meant all content they post was no longer visible to you, plus all content you post is no longer visible to them. Oh well, work with what you've got I suppose. **** with this information, I won't announce when I've ignored someone going forward. That's just antagonizing the person if they can see me talking about it, which isn't cool. Thanks for the heads up, @Dogoutlaw. From now on, if I want to ignore someone, I'll just do it and move on without any mention of it. It's still good that you created this post, in my opinion anyway. Forum users should know the functionality exists if they feel the need to use it.

Thanks! And in case anyone notices, I’ll most likely be quiet until Sunday or Monday. Leaving town this morning to where there’s no cell reception. The timing with the event bums me out, but whatever. I’ll be having a wonderful time unplugged, and can finish the event when I get back. Good luck and enjoy the event!! It’s definitely my favorite so far!

^ re post #35 in this thread

@MtPollux - they already do talk among themselves, and tolerate no differing views or preferences or values. they view themselves as the boni and everyone else is branded a heathen or a heretic.

amazing how hypocrites think they are the invisible ones when they block/ignore someone, but that just shows how conceited they are in preaching to each other and how narrow their field of vision is when they insist on (everyone) wearing rose-colored lenses attached to a muzzle

i’m happy for them that they have each other in this online cocoon/church they have made for one another but can only hope they each have or can find some real life support (hopefully not a cult) as comforting

Speaking of ignoring, it’s a gorgeous day today, and I would love to ignore my job. I can open the app to play or check on the forum while waiting for jobs to run or reports to finish, but I’d much rather go outside and play while there’s oddities to be found. At least I’ll have the weekend, but I think the weather’s supposed to turn a bit ugly. Almost time to put the fireplace back to work!

@Acumen wow, a working fireplace in the fall in Texas?!? (I grew up in DFW area). It was always like 80° in October!

LoL, @Bormacska. It’s true, the climate is much different up here on the high plains compared to the rest of Texas. The winters are bitter cold, but it also varies from year to year. Sometimes we’ll get lots of snow, sometimes none.

@Ginnungagap u actuslly have said exactly what i was thinking. After i came away from the lsst post, which did make me giggle- and goodness knows we all need some of that. But i thought to myself- ok- u said your piece, expressed your view- plain and simple. Now snything else is stooping to their level.

So i made a conscious decision to leave the whole thing right there. No more need for further expressing how id been affected.

And i really do look forward to the forum getting back to what it was before- a source of useful info, some laughs and banter, and generally being able to saw just how awesome it is when you get a great confoundables day, or find an erumpent horn! Hallelujah!! Lol.

So, if he happens to be listening, i apologise for the part where i quoted his negativity to berate it. That was - in my book- s step too far. But the original post of enough is enough still stands, il not add any more to that from now on cos i really don't like being that person. Leaves a bad taste in the mouth.

Right- oooh, i got loads to put on- mite even haf to make a new thread cos i need somd help decidin what to do with my skillz 😀

one either apologizes or one doesn’t.

an “i apologize, BUT ...” is not an apology.

but you do you, and i won’t hold my breath until you do.

ps - in order to stoop to someone else’s level, you’d have to be above them. in this case, you and your gang have not been.

    @Acumen literally ROFL!!! 😂😂😂 u are just....Epic!!!

So presumably the word stoop indicates a feeling of superiority- however- it does not!!

Having Acute anxiety & very low self-esteem issues makes me a very delicate creature & I NEVER presume myself to be above anyone- its always the opposite in fact.

BUT!!! I do consider that my actions can be not as low cut, mean & insulting as anothers. And by using their accusatory and downright rude comments back at them meant I had then stooped to that level by using such comments. I won't do that again.

In general, I think myself to be trying to learn how to play my first ever AR game- not a clue about the technical side, learning about the gameplay & seriously in need of advice often as what is a good way to play it successfully. Those are the threads & comments I'm interested in, and the sharing of successes & funny stories about the gameplay are a bonus. Isn't that what a forum should be about? This is also my first forum. Obviously reporting bugs etc in feedback is necessary & if you can do that from a hot air balloon I reckon you've nailed the exemplary way to forum- turned 'foruming' into an art form- right there! 😂

Going out to play now while Acumen sorts that balloon 😀

The first time I popped open the forums in a month and this topic is on top. I was questioning if I made the right decision as the brilliant event is happening and I felt out of the loop a bit.

I reconsider my reconsideration if the toxicity reached the level I'm inferring from this thread.

For what is worth, still love you all.

I second that- you have been sorely missdd @Craeft ! It's not all toxicity- honest! Just this thread was created to raise a certain issue. But I'm hoping the rest is still the usual helpful hints, banter & support we'd come to know & love 😊
