is there a quote feature for discussion thread posts?

sometimes it might be useful to refer to another post by quoting some or all of it


is there such a “quote function” here already? if not, i’d like to request one please

    The quote function is a bit odd. (I was going to write "a bit of an oddity.")


    1. Copy and paste the text you would like to quote.
    2. Select the text.
    3. Convert it to a quote:
      1. On desktop, click the paragraph symbol in the left column and select quote.
      2. On mobile (Android), click the paragraph symbol underneath the text entry box.
