Definitely get rid of playing with others assignments. I play the game as an avid walker. Im not out to make friends just add miles snd entertain myself with both wizards and pokemon go while doing so.
I agree we should be able to skip S.O.S. tasks. I live in an area with one tower and my daughter and I are the only ever at the tower doing floors. This is complete bull that I'm being forced to find two more players to do fortresses with.
If you want me to do fortresses with others allow us to apparate to a more populated area for a certain time once a week where we can do floors with others.
Yes. I'm finding it particularly difficult giving my age (50) ,work, and home obligations to find one person let alone three additional people to complete a challenge with. It would be nice to have another option to substitute or to be able to buy my way through it with scrolls or something.
Unfortunately, despite many people asking for either a skip option or for this task to be removed entirely, it seems we are out of luck. I will never finish this task, though not from lack of effort. I have tried to find others to do fortress challenges with on Community Days in particular and have never seen anyone. It is very disappointing to not be able to finish the SOS tasks (especially considering I got up at 4:30 AM one morning and drove to a local shopping center just to find Doxies for a previous task.)
@CeruleanGirl what major metropolitan area is near you? My wife and I travel fairly frequently. If we have travel plans near you, we'd be happy to let you know so we could meet up somewhere and help you complete this.
@WerewolfChaser I will make a list. We'd love to go to Australia. I believe you have the opal eyes dragon? I need 40 of those to prestige that page. I'd like to figure out how to get the eggs I need to though.
I will always play solo. I have a few coworker friends who play and it is possible on a business trip at an airport one other guy would do a challenge with me. I am not going to join kids at a park playing it because I would be a creepy older guy. It will be irritating when that join 3 players one is sitting there alone forever.
I also wish that you could skip this mission. I have a complicated work schedule and play very late. And I'm very happy playing this game alone. I don't like being forced to play with others to move on to new missions.
We all understand Niantic's goal is people gathering together, and Niantic is preventing solo players to complete some task require mord than one player... very laudable intention, but some of us have difficult to make a team to play and do those tasks. Impossing this policy (which can be considerated as an intrusion in our privacy) restrain us of enjoying fully the game. Finally, it does cost a little of understanding and good will to make alternative tasks for those we play solo for whatever reason we decided to play this way. On top of this, we have and added problem to progress in rhe wizarding challenges when resching higer floors
@WitchHiker yes it is now. However, all of the posts in this thread were before the Knight Bus existed, so you can understand how previous players (especially in rural spots) could get frustrated.😁

Add the game to different devices. Make a new account and play with yourself in a low chamber so you can be sure to win!

@Huskiebear Isn’t the knight Bus an option for the SOS task of playing with 3 teammates?
That was the only way I was able to complete that task.
