The skip animations feature will take you from a successful encounter to the rewards summary by tapping the screen after a successful spell cast. You can fast forward the rewards summary by tapping the screen and will head to the screen that displays what Family XP, Wizarding XP, and bonuses you received. The skip animation shouldn't take you directly from an encounter to the map. If anyone is seeing this, please take a screen recording and share it in 'Report a Bug.' Thank you!
I don't know how to do a screen recording, but even after multiple restarts all of these glitches are occurring. Also portkeys are not showing rewards at the end.

in portkey, after 5th wrackspurt tapped, automatic return to map without rewards summary shown, even though i did not touch the screen again. particularly troublesome was that i had no idea what ingredients were added to my vault and i had to waste time figuring out what unnecessary ingredients had been acquired from portkey encounter so i could delete them
worst of all, when i ranked up for dark arts, app froze at 100 and i had to do hard reboot of my iphone. by the time i got back into the app, i saw the next dark arts rank with appropriate number for family xp, BUT i got ripped off with no additional runestone whatsoever
i am so mad that you arrogantly released new update with so many glitches and promote it through your WUtuber mouthpieces like this is some huge quality of life improvement, when in fact it is the complete opposite.
if there is some way to return to 2.3.2, and still be able to participate in october brilliant event, i sure would!
do not even get me started about the bullcrap move with secret sponsored fortress bonuses

@kiheikid I get that u are frustrated- i had the same freezes happen when levelling up to open chests yesterday. But i just exited, hard closed the game & left it a while. When i reopened with nothing else running it worked fine & i got the usual screen forward & chest opening. Hopefully that might help if it happens again. We know the developers are listening & acting on things. Ive just seen that u popped your concerns in app feedback. Hopefully it will soon be fixed. I definitely think its worth waiting out the problems a short while?
I just ranked up my oddities for the second time. My Android phone froze, reboot to come back to proper family exp and got ripped off again on scrolls and runestone 😵😵😵😵😵
@Adrabella I think quite a few are having this problem. Luckily just exiting the game when it got stuck & hard close, then opening it again after a break sorted it for me.
But if you pop the issue on a thread in app feedback I'm sure they'll get it sorted out quickly.
to clarify, i WAS quite happy with the app before 2.4.0 update even though it was not perfect
but these major problems from 2.4.0 ruin, not improve, the quality of life re this app — precisely the opposite of what was marketed
this update was NOT sufficiently beta-tested prior to release? what was the big hurry? haste makes waste, and in this case, a lot of good will previously enjoyed by the game developers will have been wasted unless this set of 2.4.0 problems get fixed pronto
@Adrabella Same happened again to me just now, second time. Now I'm refusing to open my registry until this is fixed. I have no idea if I'm losing runestones and/or scrolls but I'm not taking a chance.

I didnt get that from your previous comment sorry- i thought it sounded like u might be ditching the game cos of the update & i thought that would be a real shame as they will hopefully sort out the problems soon.
You've definitely made many valid points about how the update has affected your gameplay & putting it on the feedback thread means they will see how many are having the same issues. I really hope they are sorted soon so you can get back to enjoying the game like before.
Cos I'm poorly it's sorta been a life-changer for me, gets me out & chatting to amazing people on the forum has given me a sorely needed positive focus. Hope you can find it fun again soon without any annoying glitches. Fingers crossed 🤞
Sorry to hear you are having the same glitches @ZookiTabooki - the update has been great for me- so fab being able to click out of the animations quicker to catch more & in the greenhouses too when im a passenger in the car for 'dusk run' with hubby i can use them to try for spell energy too now. Took too long before.
And the freezing at 100 in the family xp happened last night but was fine when i went back in & did it again & all worked well since.
I know I'd feel really frustrated if all of a sudden these things were going wrong so i hope all gets sorted soon for everyone to get back to loving the game! 🤞😊
@AuroraKadavra I'm am also pleased with this update, despite the glitch I am experiencing. Fix is on the way, I have no doubt. The challenge for me now is avoiding the Registry.
Ditto on the 'freeze on rank up', both for me and my girlfriend (both Android, different versions, different phone makes). I haven't tested if we get the reward scrolls yet, I hope so..
Sorry to hear about others troubles with the update, it’s my favourite update so far. Super fast skipping of animations, it shows all of the rewards summary unless I tap twice, and no scrolls / runestone problems when ranking up.
Skipping the animation makes it much easier, especially with a brain elixir running. But I notice the same bug with the family XP reaching 100. It freezes the game and you have to restart it. That happened to me several times today. The same happens on the phone of my wife.
me: go to hospital ER and tell trauma surgeon i am wounded and need medical attention
(someone else here): sorry you’re bleeding but i’m not bleeding and i love the hospital’s shiny new lobby
me: i’m still bleeding and why are you distracting the trauma surgeon with your report that you are not bleeding, while others (me included) still are bleeding ??

@kiheikid I think your analogy is a little bit off. This is more like during a blackout many people report that they have no power. At the same time, if some people report that they still have power then it helps the electric company narrow down where to look to find the faulty wires.
The developers are doing their best, and I'm sure the problem will be fixed soon.

it just distracts the service technician and annoys the folks who are still sitting in the dark and are trying to describe their situation

but please understand that your comment could be interpreted, by some of us who do have the problems, as an (attempted or actual) invalidation of their very real problems from the update. worse yet, if the developer believes everything is rosy for a lot of people, the reported problems might not get the attention they deserve from the developer because they could attribute the reported problem to isolated glitches solvable by phone reboots — and that is not the answer

But it does help the developers to hear about others' experience to hopefully narrow down the issue. One of the admins has already asked those of us having issues to report it in the report a bug section. They are listening.
I think the issue with not displaying rewards is due to the application processing a single screen tap as two taps - the bug is not consistent as sometimes I see the rewards page
My app will not acknowledge that I have done the update so I can't even open the game because it constantly sends me to do an update. After completing the update 4 times and restarting my phone I still can't play. So I won't get my bonus for the day!

Loving the update. Skipping caught foundables is amazing feature. Do we know where adventure sync is in the release roadmap @HPWULola ?

Fair enough. What I’m not doing a very good job of is trying to highlight why this recent update is a godsend to some, yet a nightmare to others.
My apologies if my syntax is flawed as English is my second language.
