Wasn't sure where to put this? But it's sort of linked on with a Brilliant Event, though it is its own new oddities event & it definitely comes under the category of rewards!
I just wanna say oh ny goodness! How epic are these rewards from the dragon egg captures this week!!?

It's just epic!! I'm rapodly stocking my potions vault ready for the severe & emergency threat dragons, they brew so fast!! Mind you ive been use a few cos - is it just me or are there loads more high levels out at min!? Im gonna pop my new encounters on confoundables thread 😀
And don't get me started on the portkeys! I had 4 to open yesterday morn when do my usual open baruffio, battle at fortress & open any portkeys. By the end of the day with just run errands, i have 3 more for this morn already- thats before i go pottering!!
Just lovin it! Wanted to say- fab rewards- lots of high threats- ive never been so excited! Like a kid at Christmas me!!! 😀😂😀😂

It does feel like I’ve seen more severe and emergency levels lately. Didn’t want to jinx it though! Just tonight, hubby and I found McGonagall again!!💃💃 He even saw a swooping evil this evening as well. It’s been a great week so far!
I saw the Weasley Flying Car, Quidditch Captain Harry, Tank of Brains, and Hagrid today. Got Newt last night. I’ve noticed an increase too!
And I totally agree! I’ve been stocking up on potions galore and finally expanded my potion vault to keep up. Also love how quickly I’m unlocking portkeys and I’ve had good luck picking up some 10K ones now that the brilliant event has ended. Haven’t used the dark detector reward yet but I plan on trying that out tomorrow in a Legends of Hogwarts landmark area. Very pleased with the week so far!
@Herm10neG92 warning on the DD. If the area you want to go tends to be quiet/dead, the DD’s might not help/do much. Just an fyi. That’s been my experience the few times I’ve used them now. I’m crazy jealous you have a LOH flagged area tho!! So I really hope it helps!
@Dogoutlaw Thanks for the tip! It’s at a pretty busy hospital so I’m hoping there will be decent activity. I spotted it on campus at my internship yesterday and didn’t have a long enough break to walk over and sit but I’m gonna try today. It’s the first time I’ve seen a LOH landmark with an inn so I’m hoping I might see Dumbledore, Harry, or my girl Hermione. Will report back with results
This came on a terribly busy week for me so I'm envious of your activity. Despite stuffing my ingredients vault I'm now running my cauldron dry desperate to hit greenhouses.
Oh my goodness- so yesterday- i got the goblet of fire first time seen it, got it 2nd cast with a strong! Yay- but then turned corner & Dumbledore 's there!! I got him! Woohoo!!! Then the veil- first time seen that! Next thing was one im ashamed to say hadnt a clue what it was lol! I need to check registry pages & il get back to you- but it fled, was severe threat. Then to tound the day off i got Hagrid 😀
Today- i got young Hermione & Pickett! So chuffed. It's my regular route so id say they defo are spoiling us this week 😊 Even seeing the demiguise caught him yest & today, i love that animation!!
@Osprey1 that's the worst ever timing! I really feel for you. Ive been the same with ingredients- first time i ever ran out of snowdrops lol! Had to do a pure search for ingredients run yesterday- not that im complaining- was nice b out & about more.
This is a fab week in the game tho- really lovin it!! 😍
@Dogoutlaw @AuroraKadavra Update: I just returned another Young Hermione walking down from the lab and I think it might be my absolute favorite animation now. Boggart McGonagall doing her dance kills me every time 🤣
And I ran out of snowdrop yesterday too @AuroraKadavra! Weird to run out of snowdrop before I run out of unicorn hair but the portkey drops have been bountiful while the snowdrops on the map have been scarce.
@Osprey1 I'm right there with you! I've had to work a lot more so I can do very little with the rewards, but I am loving them either way. I wish this would happen once a month! Goodness 😍
Awesome on all of you getting great rewards! I haven’t been able to grind properly so maybe that’s why I haven’t gotten anything. Got a few students and couple of consecutive graphorns.
@Herm10neG92 @AuroraKadavra I ran out of snowdrop too AND snowdrop seeds. But I did get a couple of snowdrops out of a greenhouse. Then I ran out of bitterroot. As per usual, I haven’t got powdered dragon claw, but to make use of the reduced brew time, I gave up some gold to brew Baruffio’s. Wish I could trade unicorn hair for powdered dragon claw.
Totally agree, these bonuses are wonderful, @AuroraKadavra! I've been brewing potions like a mad scientist. I'll probably increase my vault space tomorrow to make room for more. I've been nearly out of unicorn hair for the last week, but the portkey bonus has helped out with that. I've only received the occasional drop of one or two unicorn hairs, but I'm able to open the portkeys at an adequate pace to keep the potent exstimulos brewing. I hope to eventually open one that drops enough hair to make an actual unicorn, but no luck yet.
I've been using the 3-hour rental cauldron twice per day. I can sneak in 5 potions every time (2 regular exstiumulos, 2 healing, and one brain elixir) by applying master notes to all of them and finishing any one of the first four at just under 10 minutes early. Total cost is 16 gold for each 3-hour rental (15 for the rental and one more gold piece to finish a potion early). Well worth it, to me anyway.
Over the weekend, I'll probably stop at one of my favorite spots with lots of activity, throw out a few dark detectors, and crack open a bottle of brain elixir.
I have yet to spot a Legends of Hogwarts landmark in my area @Herm10neG92! I'm jealous of anyone else who has one nearby. I'm sure I'll stumble upon one eventually. I've been plotting out all the best locations in my city on the WU world map, mostly so I can use it as a reference for landmarks. Our local museums happen to share a campus with local colleges and universities, so no LoH flags there unfortunately, but I still have a few other likely spots to check out.
Oh, and here's a handy landmark guide, in case anyone is curious. These are all based on observation. You may have found specific landmarks in locations not mentioned here.
@Dogoutlaw and @Acumen Update- don’t be too jealous of my LOH landmark. Just took my lunch over there and set up shop with 3 dark detectors. Spent at least 35 minutes with absolutely nothing d/t service issues. That spot is almost a complete dead zone despite my phone saying I had LTE. I had zero luck whatsoever. No rare LOH Foundables. Just a lot of restarting my phone. Loading screens. Creative error messages I’ve never seen before like “ERROR: The Calamity moved this foundable to another location!”I have lots of screenshots of loading screens if you’re interested in feeling the depth of my struggles. It even logged me out of my account twice so I had to re-sign in.
I got 1 tank of brains so it wasn’t a total loss, but interestingly it spawned completely outside of the landmark area and didn’t have the dark detector marking around it. It almost looked like a glitch from GPS drift where it wasn’t even supposed to be there. It came up after I restarted the app for about the 38th time. I even hard reset my phone and it didn’t help. I tried to walk to multiple areas in the flagged zone but had the same experience everywhere.
Pretty convinced if it starts with a D it doesn’t work. Dawdle Draught, Dark Detectors, Dancing With Dummies (although supposedly that one is fixed). I feel like Dwight Schrute would have something to say here.
@LeFayeofAlbion oh man, same! I can't believe I ran out of bitterroot and snowdrop! I had A BUNCH!! But yeah, the reduced potion time will do that. I just planted bitterroot and maxed the two green houses I have them in. Can't wait to get my hand on them to brew more, mwahahah 😆
Also I would totally give you all my dragon claw! I really don't need it, but would love unicorn hair!

@JulieJubz I have like 30 unicorn hair and zero powdered dragon claw. But I really want to make use of the potion brewing time and have enough Baruffio’s for the 3 hours of the day if the dragons, which I don’t. If only we could trade in-game! Spending coins makes my heart bleed.
@LeFayeofAlbion if I hadn't deleted it, I would have had over 100 dragon claw for sure. But I needed the space. I could have traded with a bunch of people and still had leftovers, haha!
Best of luck with the Baruffio's though!! Having them brew at half the time is soooooo awesome.
I'm glad you are all enjoying this week! I found the Portkey walking bonus to be my favorite treat. Yesterday I opened the app and then got distracted as I was walking into work, I looked back down and I had opened FOUR PORTKEYS! I felt pretty awesome.

My XP is raising so quickly, I feel like I’m opening a Portkey every two seconds, and the potions are just completing soooo quick.
I love the double time Dark Detectors, but do find I have trouble sitting anywhere for a whole hour. I wish I could combine these dark detectors with Dragon Day somehow...maybe reenact the Fan Fest!
I sure am going to **** the bonuses once this week is over!!

@Acumen whaaat!! I didnt even think of renting the cauldron to do extra while this one is brewing fast! Why didn't i think of that! 😂 my brain...seriously! Thanks for the tip il pop one on today & brew 5 extra, i was thinking might need to up my vault again too.
@Herm10neG92 & @LeFayeofAlbion im same with dragon claw get drops regular enough- just- in the portkeys to keep pace with this. And Acumen you made me laugh so much with your post- enough hair to make a whole unicorn! Lol. I think ive over 30 of those but i really usually stick to the strong at max generally, only use potent on emergencies- tho i ran into 2 yesterday so prob need do more.
My area where I've been finding things is between 2 flagged COMC zones, its not a zone itself, so shows maybe that they are just popping up more often any place?
Either way- you've all made me feel better- inc you @HPWULOLA about the fact i feel like a kid at xmas at the min! 😂😂 it's not just me!! Lol
Ps @Herm10neG92 i feel for u too having to work - but love the Hermione one too! Love that she's cringing in a corner from being told off lol- her worst fear! That was me at school- such a swot! Lol. It did make me smile first time saw it 😀

This week has been the best ever! I know how u feel @LeFayeofAlbion & deeply sympathise. Ive been in an attack for 3 days now, basically under a blanket feeling awful- but i think its just the pure love of this game that has forced me out to find thing, plus i just worked it in with having to drop daughter at school.
But even tho im not feeling well at all, bit of a wreck, I'm getting out there tomoz for those dragons! Lol. Nothing else would get me out of the house. Hope you feel better soon & perhaps up to a little wander in dragon time tomorrow 😊

Hopefully the game & chatting about it on here provides somewhat of a distraction when you feel up to it. This week in the game has definitely improved my ability to get through the anxiety attack & been a lifeline!
