Please, oh please, allow players to disable immersive mode.

This is a major pro of the Pokémon Go app for so many reasons. With Pokémon Go any notifications, time, charge state and wifi/cellular status are nonintrusively visible while playing and you have easy access to check other apps (side-swipe on home "button") without having to do an edge up/down swipe first.

You might reason that this will result in less "immersion" in the game, but I think that the opposite is true. The frequent and annoying action of having to perform the awkward swipe-gesture (either swipe-down + waaaait or swipe-down + swipe-up) to see/access the notification bar is truly a much worse immersion-breaker.

Most people don't have a separate phone for the game and use their phone for a number of things that they would like to keep an easy by-a-glance check on as with other continual-use AR-map style games, not to mention the basic things like time and battery status.

I haven't tried the app on an iPhone so I can't say if it has the same problem there (I hear it doesn't). But please, oh please (again), take a look at how Pokémon Go does this and do it similarly.

I am not asking to remove this for all users, I'm sure there are some who like it the fullscreen way, just let us choose and everyone can pick what they like best.

Considering how much of a battery drain the game is, seeing the battery charge icon seems important.

For that matter allow us to disable the animations. They take way too long.
