I totally opened 4 of each first, and then we chose the green welsh to continue with in my group, as part of someone else's strategy, but I didn't open any extra ones yet. Still have them all in my queue.

@JulieJubz I can see how the Common Green Welsh Dragon would be a target in Americas since it shares the oddity registry page with the Peruvian Vipertooth. I wish they deleted or changed the “common” word to add more allure to the Welsh Dragon though.
The bonuses should be live now, but it seems like they aren’t working. I put in a new potion to brew and still shows normal time. Caught a Foundable and normal XP. Will try restarting game to perhaps update it. Hmmm, that didn’t appear to change it.
Heck, I thought for some reason the egg pormanteaus were ending end of day Monday instead of Sunday and didn't manage to get enough for any one egg (I should have focused, but when i had space the colors I wanted just weren't popping up!) Would I be correct in assuming these egg fragments would still be gettable, just less guaranteed, since they're on prestige-able registry pages?
Some people have suggested they might be drops from foundables or wizarding challenges. We have heard the peculiar portkeys are not going to be a regular thing. How were the egg fragments collected at WUFF?

25% bonus wizarding XP is in effect now. I used 2 baruffio brains elixir potions and grinded 20K XP. It is even less than regular time’s usage of brain Elixir. Why? A lot of medium threat level Foundables were encountered , e.g., in a 10mins time period, 5 encounters escaped, 2 was caught using 4+ spells. The flee rate has been tremendously increased quite recently - on Saturday morning when I walked 8KMs to unlock peculiar Portmanteaus, 30% foundables fled. The base win rate for medium level foundables is supposed to be 25%. 90% of the time, I was almost guaranteed to catch it using 4+ spells. It seems to me the wizard levels (38 lvl auror) plays no role at all.
Maybe I am too picky and was easily frustrated. Nonetheless I will use 30 incubators to hatch Pogo eggs maybe for majority of my time in September and get back to day of the dragons only on Sept 7.
😪 health got in the way for me and I couldn’t get or walk enough of the peculiar portmanteaus as I’d have liked 😭 why?!!! Got 4 opaleyes though. Hope to see eggs drop on the map like it did for the fest attendees. Everyone says that their rewards from peculiar portmanteaus were really good. But I only got like re’em blood and other common ingredients. Max spell energy I received was 5 and xp was like 15 XP. Terrible rewards on top of the health issues really put me down and didn’t really entice me to go out anymore, even if I could have. ☹️
@Osprey1 yep, just like ingredients on the event site. it was really wonderful. I cannot put to words all the fantastic things of the event - highly recommend going to next one when they have it.

I had increased XP on a foundable (122 XP for a common, great, first cast.)

lpp@Osprey1 there were eggs everywhere. no idea how many i picked up, but it was a whole lot. hundreds.

@Valorshu I was noticing increased flee rate and more spell traces for captures as well. Haven’t quantified it, simply anecdotal yet apparent.
