Best Use for DADA books?
I am trying to find the best way to spend my DADA books and was hoping for advice. I know some people may have spent them to get to Trace Charm Proficiency lessons and that there is a lot of disappointment right now regarding those. But I am more interested in the lessons themselves which cost DADA books. Looking at those lessons only, I have a couple of questions about them.
Anyone who has spent them, what did you spend them on and are you happy about those purchases? Or do you regret the purchase?
Those who have not yet spent them, are you saving them for any lesson in particular?
Thanks!

I haven't spent any yet but plan on upgrading potions first whenever I do, then trace charms
I look at it more in terms of branches it opens. What additional skills are now accessible by opening one in particular.
I chose to focus on paths that opened Spell Mastery, then overall Departure Denial to increase the odds of getting a trace with minimal energy.
So under CEII, level 22, "Whetstone for the Mind" gives (with no additional DADA books):
2 brew time reductions
1 Trace Charm
1 Family Departure Denial
1 Family Spell Mastery
+70 Spell Mastery
CEII, Level 25, "A Horse with no Name" gives:
+3% overall Departure Denial
+4 Traces w/Tonic for Trace
+1 Trace Charm proficiency
+1 Greenhouse Proficiency (oh boy)
and 3 different family spell mastery of +160
Those were my first two. What I'll do next... I haven't made up my mind yet, but same approach
@Niff1erTick1er those lessons above done they cost quite a few DADA books? Thank you for all of this information g the way. It is very helpful. I have 22 DADA books and am saving for a lesson that opens up more lessons so thank you very much for posting all of this for us.
@Niff1erTick1er That makes a lot of sense! Thanks for the advice.
I've spent most of my DADA books I currently have 8. I saved them up to complete the lesson False Passage which is bottom left of the first lessons section. It allows Hogwarts chests the chance to reward you Spell Books. I'm a completist and want to max out all three professions. I've finished Auror and am working on Magizoologist. So I need all the spell books I can get. Sadly that lesson has only netted me 2 spell books so far. Out of how many treasure chests I couldn't tell you I don't count that sort of thing. My plan is to open all of the treasure chest lessons on the bottom of that page.
I spent most of mine in departure denial, trace charm, spell effectiveness, in that order.
I specifically spent DADA books unlocking Trace Charm lessons. So, yeah, definitely don’t go that route ;) If I were able to reset and do it all again, I would still get the Wizarding XP Trunks (If not 60 yet). Then I would focus on Spell Mastery, departure denials, and the potions that I frequently use (both brew time reduction and increasing power.) Personally, that is the exstimulos and trace tonic.
@Raidengl @Dragons1111 @LeenieBeanie Cool! Thanks for the advice. I am making a list of what I want to do based on suggestions. Thanks again!
I wish I had studied all the pages of the SOS trees better. Especially before I just went to town and spent all of the gift they gave us at the beginning. The ability to possibly get spell books from treasure trunks is great. But if you've only completed one of the classes you won't get much from it. You need to unluck as many of them as possible for the overall percentage to do you any good. But they require so many DOD books it's going to take forever to complete them all.
