After the pandemic, please re-add the "10 different countries" achievement

When the pandemic settles down, many of us will begin to travel again. I hope you'll re-add the "Return traces in 10 different countries" achievement :)

That achievement was removed some time before the pandemic... primarily because it never worked as intended. I suppose it would have to be redesigned from scratch in a very different way.
If I remember correctly, the "original" version of that achievement didn't track your actual location but instead used the language/location-setting of your phone - and thereby could not be completed without exploiting.
I would have really enjoyed this achievement, I wish it had worked as intended, but as @Lucoire says it didn't. Since it would need to be redone to make it actually work, that would take time away from the team rolling out new features or fixing the current collection of bugs. At this point I'd rather accept that we can't have the country achievement than add more code with more potential bugs to frustrate users.
I'm aware that it was not working as intended :) I would rather see the bug fixed than the feature removed, though. And even though it was removed long before the pandemic, it seems like the end of the pandemic would be a good time to reintroduce (and fix) the feature.
This explains why I never got credit for (when it was still active) actually playing in another country!
Perhaps if defunct it should be removed from the game entirely; I think there’s still evidence of it in places.
