Wizard Challenges No Longer Shows a Background

I don’t know if anyone else is having this issue or not, but currently all my challenges both within the knight bus and the normal fortresses, plus oddities traces, aren’t showing any kind of background like they used to. I have to constantly search for traces and foes within challenges and I don’t know how to fix it. My AR section in settings is turned off. If it’s supposed to be on, please let me know. Because I think I’ve turned it on and it still doesn’t show the background for easy location

of trace or foe. It’s honestly very frustrating. Please help

Look for the AR switch on this screen, once you've selected an enemy in the fortress but before you start fighting.
