I am waiting to hear if sponsored locations will be favored during community day before deciding.

Closest is Carlsbad Premium Outlets, further away but likely to be more active is Fashion Valley.

I have the same question as @Overflow4487 ..

@Overflow4487 you have the time correct.

AT&T and Simon are sponsors. You can identify sponsored inns and fortresses because they have a sponsored label.

Simon operates Simon Malls®, Mills®, and Premium Outlets®. Here is a link to locations https://www.simon.com/mall

Thanks for the response! There are no malls near me, so I may just be heading downtown in my city instead.

Moving the time to later in the day would be optimal. Here in Phoenix, our summer temps are usually well above 100° (normally well over 110° at this time of year) and with extremely high humidity. Being out in that for 3 hours is dangerous. I agree with @FunkyGaaroth , extend the time but cap the item rewards.

I really don't know about "community" efforts. Unless there's a location coordinator, people invariably end up left out due to cliques and rude behavior. They leave feeling frustrated with the game and back off from playing. With the Ingress community there is usually a volunteer site coordinator to make introductions and ensures everyone has a good safe time.

@SamuelHaight yeah i agree is really hard to set up a community and make it visible for new players to join. A chat and a sort of guild system in game would go a long way to build and improve a community.

Potions brewing commencing in preparation and scheduling RSVPs unsing Google Forms is proving to be very helpful in getting fellow Wizard friends to actually unite!

I'm not sure of the efficacy of a guild system in a game like this. I'm definitely not opposed to it. In fact, I asked for the ability to make local teams in Ingress (we were Flint Enlightened for the Assimilation of the Resistance [ F.E.A.R] and were hoping to be able to have official teams in game). However, I don't know how viable that would be here. But if it were decided that something like that were to be implemented, I'd definitely support it, @FunkyGaaroth .

I will be at the Falkirk Cultural Center in San Rafael. I haven't been back since the game came out but am headed home now.. So, if talking is not already a greenhouse, it needs to be.... since they have a huge greenhouse. 😁 Also, please increase the interaction distance... I am on a cane and it takes me a gallon of sweat and an hour and a half just to get 4 or 5 blocks. Either I go bankrupt getting an uber or Lyft back and forth all day, or I am pretty much stuck in place and unable to grab more energy and hit a greenhouse for potion ingredients. Loving the game so far (minus the bugs we have all already been reporting... But all games go through that).

@Craeft Was discussing teams yesterday! Of course the Ingress portal concept wouldn't adapt very well but what about designating areas to a Fortress? Whatever team completes the highest level owns the fortress and it's area with a unit/region/global score tally and reset weekly or monthly. 50% boost to energy at Inns, 25% faster grow times at Greenhouses and special traces for your team within the area. Not to mention getting to flip into AR mode and see a Dark Mark floating over a city...

@FunkyGaaroth has some great ideas! The 3hr window is definitely not long enough and during the hottest time of the day.

@HPWUMicah The event is less than a week away. When should we expect an update?

Yeah, 6 days away and no information on what to expect. I'm trying to coordinate a community event around this so people can meet and help each other work the tasks for the event. It's hard when I can't recommend players stock up on necessary supplies. LOL

The info/help section of the game for Fortresses shows a fortress with an orange banner floating over the pinnacle/roof top. I wonder if this is a graphic for a mechanic we’re yet to see in the game - something like a community day challenge with a special chamber with special rewards perhaps.

@HPWUMicah thanks for the info! Just to clarify, the baruffio’s 3x exp is applied instead of the regular 2x right? Not on top of it (that would be massive 🤣)

I'll he playing with 2 or 3 of my friends, somewhere in the Portland, OR area. Not sure if we will head downtown, or head to a nearby bar where there are 3 inns and a greenhouse, with 2 more greenhouses, an inn, and a fortress about 1/4 mile away.

I'm an Auror, the friends are all Magis, so this should be some interesting tower runs.

not really sure how i feel about dark detectors only lasting 1 hour instead of say for the full 3 hours like pogo does, it may be irrelevant if the increase to spawn rates is high enough but it seems odd to take a proven method and alter it so strangely. still going to play that day for sure, and curious to see how this pans out :)

    Playing in the Flagstaff area:

I love how the developers of the game want us to be safe yet have us outside playing this game during the peak hottest times of the day during the hottest time of the year.

I feel an Item that gives you the perks of community day (experience bonus, etc.), and can only be used on said day, would benefit a lot more players in the community instead of ostracizing those of us that have to work or live in extreme heat conditions.

The game is extremely fun, so far, just needs a few more tweaks.

Is it possible to make the event last until 7pm thus more people can participate? ... I do not think everyone who would like to do it could be available at the hours you chose. ... I know I will be busy during those hours....you called it a community DAY event yet you wishing to run it only for few hours

    Playing in Ohio USA

I won't be able to play.. 1 today we got nothing to find do to us being under a high heat advisory. 2 we live in a small town with one stop sign. We have one inn 1 mile from the house and that's it. And we have no car. Well have high heat advisory tomorrow and the whole weekend..

I'll be playing at Haywood Mall in Greenville, SC. With the high heat going on right now, an indoor location (Simon Mall too!) seems like the safest way to play.
