Increase of Trace Charm to return more fragments didn't work

I did the Trace Charm proficiency at the bottom of Calamity III lvl 46 which says it will increase the number of fragments you return from Traces affected by your Trace Charm. This was one I saved up for as it was 1087 field and 429 SOS. Before I did it I got 2 fragments. After I still only got 2 fragments.
Please fix and can I have some Trace Charm back
