Hi everyone. Ever placed a Dark Detector in an Inn and forgot when it was placed? As players, we should not rely on external countdowns: adding a simple countdown next to each DD would be a minor QoL change that would vastly benefit the whole community.

That’s a great request! My husband and I we’re just saying this morning how helpful that would be.
Yes, I used to time is by using a BBE or possibly a TTD, but now run times are different.I'm not certain how this would look since there are 3 DD per inn. The most obvious solution would be colored ringsI was writing a post to agree with you and then, when thinking about implementation, I stopped.
What is the use case? That is, what situation do you find yourself in where there is a need to know exactly how long a dark detector has left? Does this situation generalize over multiple dark detectors? How would you access this information?
The best I could come up with is that each dark detector inside the inn (see #3 above) is mounted in a frame that has a countdown circle like a potion with a timer display at the bottom. This means that you would need to go into the inn to see the time remaining. This is similar to growing ingredients so perhaps a set of timers when you click on an inn from a distance?
Hey Osprey1, this idea is quite well-known in my community that I did not add many details. My bad.
As I hinted in the my post, the countdown would be next to each DD, meaning in the Inn DD’s section and not on the screen (just like the screenshot you linked). This information should be available to anyone within reach of the Inn, so players who did not place the DD themselves could see how long there is left (and also the player who placed it in case he forgets).
