Since I’m new to this, can locations disappear? We live in a small town and one of the greenhouses no longer shows up on the map (it was a local church). Thanks

Owners of those locations can ask Niantic to remove the POI associated with their property. This has happened in the past as a reaction to misdemeanor by players - demeanor that was in sharp contrast to the location in question (specificly churches, cemetaries and "places of mourning").
