Increased trace time from tonics and dark detectors
The traces that appear from tonics and dark detectors disappear far too quickly.
This was already an issue before but you could try not to miss any by prioritizing them, however with the trace charm it is not possible anymore.
For instance if your tonic/dark detector provides an emergency trace, this is good opportunity to cast trace charm on it, but by the time you collect all traces provided by the trace charm (7 in my case) you have all chances that the original tonic/dark detector trace has disappeared. In this case it is not possible to collect the trace from the tonic/DD first as it could cause all traces from trace charm to also disappear due to a bug.
It has also always been a big issue with dark detectors. If you stay static under the inn you will quickly be bored waiting for a new trace to pop as you have cleaned the area, but if you walk you will have all chances to miss some traces as if they pop when you are away, they will disappear very quickly once you are back.

I haven't had any issues with them disappearing. I just cast trace charm, use Strong or Potent Extimulo, return 5 traces, use Basic Extimulo, return the rest. As long as you are returning them within a cast or two, there is enough time to return them all.
I use Potent Extimulo on Three-Headed Dogs, otherwise you run the risk of them attacking multiple times and taking too long. I am a Professor, so Potent is required to one shot them. Aurors and Magi hit harder, so they might be good with just using Strong Extimulo.
@BenTiger There is a glitch where they can all seem to disappear after catching the first one. As others have mentioned though, they haven't actually gone; you simply reload the game and they'll all be right where you left them. You also don't need to do them in any particular order. Catching the original trace won't cause the others to leave, and may be preferable in cases of dark detectors or tonics, where the original trace is on a tighter timer.
It woukd be nice for them to hang around longer, but I suspect that the timers are to encourage smarter gameplay. Like @BenTiger said, this is the perfect opportunity to pop a potion.
second to this.
in my case, if traces charm put on traces from DD. the origin traces always dissapear if the new traces from DD pop up (as if it have life time about 3 minutes?) that times is cut down for me because the encounter error bug that force the game to restart which happened very often.
traces in the wild seems have more persistent from disapearing even with force restart bug they usually still hang around to capture the last.
