We appreciate your patience as we worked through the issues with the Knight Bus and Fortresses during July Wizarding Weekend. We are adding a complimentary store pack to Diagon Alley which will include:
- 10 Gold Coins
- 10 Field Guides
- 1 Barrufio’s Brain Elixir
- 1 Tonic for Trace Detection
- 1 Dark Detector
- 3 Level 3 Legends of Hogwarts Runestones
- 4 Dittany
This pack will be available this week and be around to claim for about 30 days. Enjoy!

Thanks @hpwulola! But I have to ask, why dittany? It seems like such a random addition to this pack.
Please Niantic/Warner Games guys, put a little more effort on this, i have friends who couldn't access the game or play in the knight bus for over a day and sorry but besides the tonic, the baruffio and the dark detector we can get these items by playing for an hour maybe or even less. I'm not asking for 10 baruffios and 1000 guides or something like that, but when i see this list of items it looks like somebody who doesn't know anything about the game put all this together randomly.
This complimentary pack isn't even remotely close to commensurate with the time lost due to the outage. I understand the runestones, barrufio, trace tonic, and dark detector for those who were using them when they were kicked out. You can't buy anything for 10 gold, so it's irrelevant, but a bonus I guess. 4 dittany, as others have pointed out is strange, but whatever, it's also irrelevant. The big issue I have with is that so far the above has only really addressed potentially reimbursing those who lost items that may have been used when they were kicked out. It does nothing to address the length of time the game was unavailable and compensate for potential resources lost out on by not being able to play during that outage. The 10 field guides is the last item on the list and is this really supposed to be equivalent to the lost time? Given that the event featured Dumbledore who as an emergency threat retrieves 20 field guides at a time, by providing only 10 field guides, you're making the assumption that people wouldn't have even returned a single Dumbledore during a time when that trace was boosted for an event. It also doesn't give any credit to potentially placing the image and gaining ministry manuals (which I understand is more complex given everyone is on a different prestige level for that page and therefore would've gained differing amounts). As a result, I can't help but feel very underwhelmed by this gift as compensation for the outage.
The event required returning 20 Hagrid/Maxime, 15 Lupin, and 10 Dumbledore over 3 days. The outage lasted over 24 hours, but let's call it 1 day lost out of the 3. 20 Hagrid/Maxime would have returned 40 field guides, 15 Lupin for 120 field guides, and 10 Dumbledore for 200 field guides would total 360 field guides. I would've expected compensation for a third of that given that's how long the outage roughly was (120 field guides). I also would've assumed that each of them would have been placed once each (call it on the bronze page for arguments sake), so Hagrid/Maxime for 4 ministry manuals, Lupin for 12 ministry manuals, and Dumbledore for 18 ministry manuals for a total of 34 ministry manuals.
I believe this would have made the gift more "fair", by including 120 field guides and 30ish ministry manuals as it would more accurately reflect what people lost out on by not having the game available to play. Is it perfect? No. I certainly would have gained a lot more than that simply by being on a higher page than the bronze page and being a fairly active player. Would I feel the need to say something about it though had the gift been 120/30? No, probably not. I would view it as fair for the overall player base, if not for me. As it is, the 10 field guides feels like we've just received a penny tip, which is worse than if you hadn't done anything at all.
Thank you !!

What about those of us who missed out on the last 4 days of the previous brilliant event starting the day before the update and were unable to log on for a week? What compensation will be given to us? Seems like players who had issues with the Knight Bus were still able to play or had those issues for hours, not a whole week of not being able to log in.
Thank you in advance for your response.
.
I ve lost 100 coins. I want them back
Got a message today that my complimentary store pack was available but when I went into Diagon Alley there was nothing. Is there a glitch? Will I still get my store pack?
Thank you
There is no gift in my store!
Hmm, I got the notification for a gift 15 minutes ago but nothing is in Diagon Alley.
Thank you!
Didn't receive the gift.
Never fount the fire crab so could not pass the second level in the most recent challenge. Very disappointing
I also got a notification but when I went to Diagon Alley it Twas not there. I’m thankful for the freebies though! Just hoping it isn’t lost.
When you see the popup, indeed Diagon Alley has no gift yet. Restarting the game does enable the complimentary gift available in store and a countdown for 30+ days.
Collect it, then toss out the 4 dittany to make space for some proper ingredients ;-)
My gift finally showed up and Now have collected it.
Thanks
@Vineyardtourist you should still be able to get the fire crab by using the brilliant runestones from the event in challenge chambers.
Yes, please restart the game to see the gift!@FredjeFlitser thanks for helping out!
I’ve restarted the game, deleted and re-downloaded, but I haven’t been able to open Diagon Alley for 4 days now. I’m using an iPhone. Is anyone else seeing this issue?
This pack disappeared during the recent Brilliant Week, and then never reappeared. I was waiting to take it because I didn't want to just throw out the dittany, but when it disappeared I was unable to get it. And even though it should still be there now, it was actually available for about half the quoted time.
