Knight Bus Etiquette
Seriously tired of people having no common sense or caring about how they play. There are some common rules that should ALWAYS be followed, especially in the higher chambers.
- If you don’t have the suggested difficulty level for the chamber, please don’t even bother entering.
- Once you are in the lobby, if you are the third (or more) player of your profession to enter, LEAVE. The optimal profession ratio is 2/2/1, and it’s essential in the highest few chambers for efficient play.
- Do your part and be a team player. I’ve seen far less of the “free riders” lately who enter and then just let everyone else defeat the foes, so that’s good. However, don’t forget to do the simple math and figure out approximately how many foes each should be responsible for. Then, do your best to take down that many foes as well as spread your focus to help teammates—even if it means having to battle some enemies you are weakest against.
These are just a few simple suggestions that if followed by all would make for less frustrating gameplay. Of course, I know that it’s unlikely many of those already guilty of not doing these things will ever make their way here to read this, but I had to finally say something.

I feel like there should be a reward system in terms of experience/drops based on who puts the work in. I’ve gone into a fortress with 3 or 4 teammates and completed 50% of the foes alone. I should be rewarded for that! It would also be a deterrent for those who want a free ride. Just my thoughts.
@TheDinkins that means everyone is going after the pixies and nobody will touch the elites.
Almost any "reward system" will corrupt the incentive my making people care more about the reward than about "doing what is right".
Almost any "punishment system" will make people think of ways to exploit / avoid that system.
Social issues can't be solved by technology.
The 3rd point is tricky, for example: on one hand players should try to stick to the foes of their skill set, so that the other players can play theirs. As a Professor, i have seen many a time when Aurors & Magis go after the Pixies, leaving me to deal with the Dark Wizards and Erklings. On the other hand, sometimes a player will have a task to defeat specific types of foes (specific creature/level) so it makes sense there for me to try to defeat an Acromantula or Azkaban Prisoner.
Bang on. So tired of people leaving at the last second leaving the rest of us to figure it out.
AND, the players who don't jump in and help others when there are no foes left for them to fight. Two challenges have been lost where players fight their foes and then don't bother to help anyone.
There should be a way to lock all players at 15 seconds on the clock.
Thank you. I've only been playing for 2-3 weeks now and I want to be a better team player in Challenges. I've played a lot of MMOs so I'm aware of team roles and dynamics but I'd like to know more for this game. Is there anything online you'd recommend so I can learnhow to be a better challenge player?
