@SpaceAce2019 if you're on that task, which it sounds like you are, they should have "dropped."😂 You can try reporting using the in app help function. Otherwise, maybe @HPWULola can help....?
@SpaceAce2019 werewolves only come out at night. You'll need to wait until the game shows it's night time. And with the doxy's, you might still report it in the app. If someone reviews your account, you may get credit for the ones you caught. The doxy's can be a pain to find!
@SandFeather if only! No, centaur bows are only through fortress drops and today my luck leaned towards dropping horned serpent eggs instead. I'm not complaining, but as my doxy count is nowhere near me prestiging the page, I was hoping for bows instead. 🙄
@SandFeather in case you were wondering about werewolves and doxies, yes, they appear on the map and you fight them. The tufts and droppings will appear on the reward screen.
I'm stuck on this task now, with just one more werewolf hair left and all 5 of the doxies. I went through a period of like three weeks where I was consistently up until after dawn, so I made it a habit to have my game open for long stretches of time, but I have literally never seen a doxy before haha. I'd be less frustrated if I'd at least seen them, or managed to snag one for the challenge, but they're rather elusive. I still need to try walking around at dawn rather than just staying in, but I was always nervous about waking my family up, haha. I've been stuck for over a month whoops, so hopefully one of these days I'll manage another early morning. I just wish I knew where to go in my area for them. Leprechauns are literally so rampant here - I see them a million times between home and wherever I'm going, any time of day. Weird, too, because I'd never encountered them and then all of a sudden they were EVERYWHERE! Now we just gotta do that with the doxies lol
(also, for a biome note, I'm in the suburbs of southeast U.S.)
@Raima You stay up until after dawn? Maybe you are meaning that you are staying up until after dusk. Dusk occurs in the evening. Dawn is the morning. Doxy appear from about 5-7 AM for me.
@Raima if you do stay up till dawn (game time) again or wake up around dawn, then possibly pop a TTD and hopefully a Doxy will show up as one of the spawns. Maybe also try doing that on a day when there isn’t an event going on, since increased event spawns might decrease the chance of normal spawns showing up. Also, in case you don’t know, Doxies don’t have a beam, so best not to ignore non-beam oddities thinking that they might be leprechauns (thought I’d mention that, since I made that mistake in the early days with centaurs 👀🤦♀️😂)
@MtPollux It is a bit condensending to assume that I made that assumption. Re-read my post, I said "maybe you are meaning", which implies that there could be a possibility of them misunderstanding the phrase. There are always language barriers that could lead to that. Maybe you should climb down from your soap box (yes, that is intentionally condescending, for illustrative purposes).
@Imaginatio thanks for the tip! I always see the non-beam ones, ignore them, and then go "**** well it could be something cool" and it's always like a centaur or a vampire or something 😂 Sadly, I did indeed mean staying up past dawn. Quarantine plus the end of summer break absolutely wrecked my sleep schedule, but with the start of the new semester I'm back to going to sleep way before 9 am lmao. That being said, one of these days I'll just have to combine all this and go for a walk, at dawn, with a TTD going after the event. Hopefully, if I pull out all the stops they'll actually show up! Thanks for the help guys, I'll keep you posted on if it works. Best of luck to the rest! x
@Raima I get what you mean with staying up past dawn. Quarantine and lockdown messed up my sleep schedule too, so I’ve ended up doing the same as you quite a few times. 👀 🤦♀️ At least it helped with Doxy hunting 😂 - now I just need 7 more to star it on the gold page. No idea if I’ll stay up late or wake up early to do that though. 🤔
I don’t see centaurs as much, since they only show up during clear skies at night (in game weather) for me and that doesn’t happen as often as I would like. As I didn’t see them much, it took me a while early in the game to figure out that they were non-beam foundables. 🤦♀️ Got there in the end though. 😂
I hope you’re sleep schedule gets sorted and you come across a bunch of Doxies soon. 😊
@Raima Events also mess up the regular spawns. Hopefully you get back on a regular schedule, instead of staying up all night. Set the alarm early and make a short walk around the neighborhood, before you start your day. Doxy tend to spawn more in the wild, than with trace tonics, as well. They also tend to appear more in residential areas (maybe because they like to hide in curtains).
@Imaginatio I hear you on that. I'm so not a morning person, so it's much more likely/easier for me to stay up until dawn rather than wake up, especially if I'm gonna have to go out and walk around haha. It's so interesting to hear about other's gaming experiences, because I haven't really talked to anyone who plays other than my sister. Here, I'm lucky if the oddities aren't always centaurs, vampires, or, of late, leprechauns. I've been seeing Fluffy more and more recently, and the serpent comes out once in a while, but the others are still a mystery to me. I hope the same for you! Sticking to a schedule is rough when you're stuck in the house without much to do (I never thought I'd be so grateful for school to start back up omg).
@BenTiger thanks for the advice! Interesting that they show up in residential areas, but they've never shown up for me. I have a heck of a time getting traces to appear without TTD because I AM in the suburbs, and they don't love my neighborhood too much, apparently. Come event time, I've got a circuit set up that I drive between the local library and the nearby park/church to get more luck with spawning. My sister lives more in the city farther north, so she sees all the rarer things loads more than I do. Let's hope a brisk walk at dawn solves the problem!
@Raima spawns tend to increase in areas with waypoints (inns, greenhouses, and fortresses). If spawns are bad in your area and there are not many waypoints, it would be a good idea to try to get some more waypoints in your area. This can be done by submitting them through Ingress (level 10 required) or Pokemon Go (level 40 required). If you don't have either, you might be able to reach out to other local players and they might submit some points for you. They can't be within 40m of a residential building, but anything that is significant and unique can usually be submitted. Many people have been putting up Little Libraries and submitting those, since they are exempt from the residential rule.
Unfortunately, waypoints have not been syncing to HPWU for the past 4 months, but hopefully they will fix it, soon.

Because they didn’t drop is how I ended up here. Will try agin in the AM and see if any poop shows up!
The Full moon starts at 934am my time on the 12th. Will werewolves be out during the daylight hours?
@SpaceAce2019 Thanks for reporting! We are looking into this now.

@SpaceAce2019 Hm, is it possible these encounters were with Pixies? I know there were a lot around this morning!
just now, my first werewolf of 2019’s **** moon aka november full moon
Werewolves are out
*sigh*. Those stupid centaur bows are holding me back still! Time to find an indoor fortress and prestige up! 😉
Do you find them out and about and duel them to get the items for the challenge?

@Dogoutlaw thanks, I totally missed the question!
