Is it possible to change the appearance of avatars?
They look very basic compared to the rest of the in game graphics. It's a bit immersion breaking to be running round as a bright green blob.

No you cant change your avatar. I hipe niantic sees this and changes it.
I’m glad they are basic. Makes the game run faster. Rendering an avi like in PoGo slows down your game and eats up your battery.
@Vladadog It's a wireframe with a skin. It wouldn't take much more resources to make it look good, rather than just a blue blob.
The owls flying around are more detailed, but less important.
