The system has changed so that instead of levels (you used to be Level 15), you now have an appraisal score. This makes it a little more nuanced and you can see people's scores in the fortress, so you can make an informed guess about how strong the player is.
I was a level 13 almost 14 and my number was large enough over 550000+ to compete at dt3 to then it changed to 32000+ but now it says I'm only qualified for the forest at 17000+ why did it do that?
@Aquaishes it isn't just you, it's all of us. My numbers go from 27k up to 50k and back again and that's my maxed auror! My MZ is also wonky. So for now ignore numbers, play as usual with the best intentions, confident teamwork, and let the devs get this particular bug under control.
Our team is looking into this. Also, some players have reported that switching between Profession shows the right Appraisal. Please give it a shot in the meantime.
Hi @ShadoeKaat and @Aquaishes, it seems that many if not all of us are having this issue. :(
We've also noticed that adding skills in SOS can bump the professional appraisal back down to near half it's #. Fortunately, switching your profession, then switching back seems to work.
@FireWanderer I am going to assume that the correct number should be around 40k, as that is the recommended score for Dark V. I am basing that on D5 being L15 perviously.
@Magpie31 Hmm, I've seen most Aurors around just shy of 50K. Hopefully, the calculation bug gets fixed soonish. It's not game breaking but it is certainly confusing.

@Magpie31 since the new system started my number keeps dropping exponentially, and I don't understand why.

Personally, I blame the nargles. 😉
@Aquaishes Yeah, so much for my prediction that things would settle when SOS training got switched on. Oooooops. Never mind.
Hopefully this will all get straightened out in the coming days.

If you wanna see some further discussion, we have some in the field guide here: https://community.harrypotterwizardsunite.com/en/discussion/7855/a-field-guide-to-sos-training/p2
@HPWUblue what is the "right" appraisal value for level 15 professions? I can go from 37544 as a professor to 67540.
The new mascot for the profs, by the way, is a puffer fish. 😁

@FireWanderer Same. It is possible that the recommended numbers have been adjusted to take team play into account. That does make things a lot easier.
