Defeated Foes not being Counted in my Assignments

Under the current Brilliant Event my Special Assignments include defeating 20 foes in Wizarding Challenges. I have defeated 11 since unlocking the assignment, but I only have 8 acknowledged. Please assist. Thank you.

I wonder... If you were team playing, couod it be that an auror's bat bogey hex finished off the others? With elite foes, if a bat bogey finishes them, the player doesn't get credited. It could be the same for this.
@Magpie31 Thank you. I have never heard of these things. When I was fighting against them it appeared as if I finished them off, but maybe you are correct. One of the times I was with others for another assignment. I believe for the other I was alone.
@ProfRiverSong7 Honestly, there are so many little things that I keep discovering. It could also be a network error or a glitch, of course.
None of mine have been counted at all.
