@Imaginatio I don't remember her family history being too nice / fair. I think she is just supposed to be a character that we can relate to. The game's equivalent to thr Doctor's companion (very British reference!). Could be wrong, though.
@MtPollux My favorite adventure plots are where the evil villain mastermind is revealed to be an ally who masqueraded as an inexperienced junior team member.
The only other known Undersecretary in the British Ministry of Magic was Dolores Jane Umbridge, so it would seem like the position attracts those with a sinister nature.
