@WitchHiker no you don't! wizarding level remains the same as does your profession progress so you can switch freely. I thought the same. just use your books wisely should you dabble in a second
@WitchHiker I play in an international group on the fortress. We have lots of aurors, not many magis. Some of our aurors have second profession professor, so I have maxed professor and magizoologist and am working on auror. Helps me fit into any team.
@Owlx its not that impressive those number is there because of the green books at top tree lesson. i find it still hard to pass forest 1 solo with auror and professor
@WitchHiker yes just switch and have at it if you have enough resources for it! And if you get bored or just don't like it you can always switch back. Only thing you can't do is add to them all at once or we'd all have all three maxed out by now I imagine!😂
@WitchHiker I am an expat, chatty forum poster, and a convention goer, so I have friends in different countries. It isn't a large group - just 20 or so good friends. If you are a member of the big WUW server, they can often point you in the direction of dedicated knight bus servers.
At present, you can't really change professions once in the fortress. It requires hopping out and praying to the fortress gods that you can get back in with your friends. One of our group tried it by using a second device to switch, but it doesn't always take, and he ended up in D5 with almost zero power!
@WitchHiker just means you have to keep switching back and forth depending on what you choose to spend your books on and what you'd rather battle as in fortresses
I can say as an auror for my main and Mz second, the biggest surprise is when I come out of fortressing as a MZ and go to fight an oddity on the map. Suddenly having to hit Fluffy three or four times is a shock!

Why would anyone want to change professions? Don’t you completely lose a profession if you start a second one?

nearly maxed out professor with only two green books and currently sitting at 129/134. Gotten everything I can with red books😂
