No matter how many globets you have caught previously, the number that can be carried over is gated by the number you had on the page before the update (e.g, 11 for base, 33 for bronze). Based on your image I am assuming you were either on base page before the update or on bronze with 3 globets. Probably you will not be able to prestige to gold anyway this weekend, even with the fix.
@AzureLaRoux this is not a bug, you are supposed to go to zero fragments when you place an image, as you have used them to place it, this should then put a green star on the image, this is the signifier saying it has been placed. Once you have all images with a green star, you can prestige the page. It does NOT matter how many fragments you have then since collected on any images on that page. if it says 0 but has a green star, you can prestige, if it says 3/7, then those extra 3 will rollover to the next page when prestiging. You can of course also completely collect all the fragments again and place the image again for more bonus xp, as many times as you wish.
I don't think I had any fragments returned with any recent update, and I'm now missing a lot of stars and fragments. Pretty upset, since I've played a lot these last weeks, and all my efforts seem meaningless now. I've reported it as a bug/something missing. Haven't opened the game since last night, because I don't know if anything I do in the game now is gonna count, and it's not fun to see my register now. I'm also afraid that a new update when I'm in-game is gonna mess up even more.

I know that some are missing but at least most returned. Plus I got a huge amount of red books from all of the challenge page repeat image placements on the gold pages!!
@Sparrowroot Exactly what happened to me too. Several confoundables seem never to have been placed now, although I know that I've placed them, some of them several times too. I'm missing so many stars and fragments, and have no way of even proving what is missing, since I don't have any pictures of my registry when it was at its best.
Throw me into the mix as well. Once again, lack of communication regarding the green stars disappearing causing images to be placed when they would have been saved and carried over. Don't know when it's safe to play or sit and wait. Extremely frustrating. I think ya'll messed up your db merge, but are trying really hard to fix it without any downtime, which trying to adjust and fix live data just leads to more issues, as can be seen...
Delay event, maintenance window when you are ready to do your next merge/fix with backup before... And verify verify verify before switching on again... And use in game communication AS SOON AS a problem is identified.

I will be losing even more Griffindor banners, as in order to be taking part in this event, i will have to use my excess parts that i saved for next prestige level, to place it in the first place, so i can prestige the page at all when the event brings me Hermione. Based on the experience of how tit is with restoring fragments and images, i have little hope of getting those fragments back.
I will lose additional fragments, too, as a side effect of losing a star in a frame, while not losing another. Such as I lost the star from Owl lecturn (0/14, now showing not placed), but it is still there for House hourglass (11/14, placed). While I will grind for 14 of the former, I'll most probably will get 3+ of the latter. And I'll have the tough choice of placing the image again, cashing out for less family xp than i'd get the next prestige level for which it has been saved up, or not place again, and wasting the next fragments.
Either way, I have no idea if I'll ever get back the fragments for the former, especially if I placed it for prestiging (after all, I lost only the placement, which i will already have again). But I am fairly certain, that the secondary loss of fragments (or loss of family xp if i cash out in a lower prestige level to avoid direct fragment loss) of the Hourglasses will not ever be compensated.
You can advise us not play until the fix is rolled out. But i downloaded this game to play it, not to wait for a fix. Especially with nthis event coming up. Also, we have no timeline about when it comes; and sincerely, due to the fiasko of yesterday's fix, very little trust that it would solve everything.
I have screenshots from may 6th and screenshots from yesterday. I know which foundables should have had more fragments.
I got nothing yesterday. I don't know if this is because I waited to prestige my pages until I was told it was safe to do so after the issue on May 7th or because I was missed this time.
I've never paid money to play, just time, so it's far less frustrating for me, but I'd still like to see those fragments back since they are all on high/severe/emergency items.
Please restore green stars, on account with codename ParryHottter. When counts are lower now than before, it’s because I have placed the fragment, so there should be a star, even if there wasn’t one before. I have not prestiged any pages between then and now.
I believe I have gotten my fragments back, but not on challenge pages; at least not on the wands, which I’m sure I’ve lost fragments on.

Something is wrong with wand fragments. I should be gold many times over on all wands. My wife plays less than I do. She waited a day after 2.13 was released, and placed all wands several times on gold.
Stilllllll nothing. No update. No stars returned. No confirmation that playing the game wont result in more progress loss, or hinder the lost fragments/star recovery process. No communication from team to say whether those still in limbo should participate in the event starting today. Almost can’t even go on the Facebook page for the game right now because everyone is just bragging about how many books, Stones and XP they received from the return of fragments. Officially gave up hope & I’m done playing. It was fun while it lasted, sadly WU will be given a one-star app rating simply due to poor customer care and inconsistency with app development.
@hpwulola@HPWUaustin@HPWUrobert This is how this went down for me. On May 7 I placed some foundables and prestiged some pages before the 2.13 version was rolled out. I stopped somewhere in the middle because fragment rollover did not work as expected. So I lost a bunch of fragments like a lot of people did.
When the recent "resolution" for this rolled out, I was on the Knight Bus. When I got off, I did notice a few new red dots in my registry, but I think those really just represent foundables that I have held back on placing, such as 10/3 for a dragon that I'd like to roll over at a later date (if I can avoid placing it accidentally...). Other than that I did not notice any changes in my registry. Except for the fact that most of the green stars were missing! They were just gone, i.e. what was previously 5/10 * had been replaced by just unplaced 5/10.
The "fix" for the "resolution" a few hours later did absolutely nothing for me. I didn't notice any change anyway. I looks like my registry got wrecked for playing on the Knight Bus at the wrong time.
Below is a screenshot from before May 7 beside a current post-"fixes" one. AFAIR, I placed Buckbeak, the winged abraxian and the baby dragon when the required fragments were decreased on May 7 but before updating to 2.13. I placed Hagrid's Hut sometime later with fragments returned on the KB. Then with the "resolution", all green stars disappeared and the page has looked like the right screenshot since then. Again, the "fix" for the "resolution" a few hour later did absolutely nothing for me.
For the below page, I placed Tom and prestiged the page on May 7 before the 2.13 update was rolled out and before there was any notice not to. All foundables was at zero after that with no roll-over from the basic page, so the counts you see on the right (which is a current screenshot) is from what I have been able to return since. I'm not sure if I placed any of the three easy ones, but for me it is quite clear that the "resolution" has done nothing for me on this page - the three Toms I have returned after May 7 and I should have 7 more from roll-over. Percival should at least have one fragment, but I think he should also be placed on the bronze page and that I am actually missing 11 fragments (since I didn't have to place him again before I prestiged the page).
A last example, this page was complete before May 7. Now - not so much. 210 fragments missing on that page alone when the umbrella is the only foundable that has been placed.
The rest of my registry is just variations of the above. Please clean this up. I'd especially like to have the games and sports pages fixed before the event so that I don't get even further behind because stuff is unplaced and me not being able to prestige what I should be able to prestige.
Here's one example of a page that's screwed up in my registry. Do you really think that I have only returned 1 out of 37 seen Quidditch fan Luna Lovegood?
I want my green stars and my lost fragments back. Lost hundreds of more fragments with this ”fix”. And what happened to my previous message after I edited it? Seems it’s been in moderation limbo for 24 hours now after the edit...
@BenTiger@MtPollux Yeah, it’s going to sting but I already decided that I only log in daily and do nothing else until this is resolved so that we get the fragments back, green stars back and pretty much all of our progress back.
There is no hope they’d postpone the event to next weekend as there is already another events planned. Stings even more, because it could mean we don’t get to play the future events either the longer this drags on. Been almost a month already, and with this recent fiasco I doubt the fix of a fix is going to come anytime soon...
@IsThisMajorTom i think the decisions regarding the refactor of requirements had a bad foundation from the start since it was based on current fragment counts and ignored the prestige color. I call his “taking the easy road fix”.
The bug came and the solution was also to take “the easy road fix” and compared pre bug counts to current counts.
I have no clue why the second fix did not work for some but being released only a few hours after the second bug was detected makes me think it was not investigated properly.
Some players warned the @HPWUTeam to take their time and investigate but we’re ignored.
The situation now is that
-some players got nothing
-some got more
-some got not enough
-everybody finds the situation unnacptable
i think the @HPWUTeam has lost control of the situation and this is from day 1 when It was decided how to migrate players to the requirements.
they are now in the situation where the next available “easy road fix” that is: “giving everybody the number of fragments they had on the 6th” will still be problematic because some users will have more than others in the end and will still be discussed as unfair over here.
Heck, (so far) I got more than I was entitled to but still am not happy because of the fact that The migration plan was unfair from the start even if there would have been zero bugs.
the way I see it is that i can no longer compare my stats to others and keep my bragging Wright’s at least when it was possible.
@HPWUTeam please postpone the event ASAP as the situation is not under control.
@Darkbluer@Blinker73 I’m confused by your comment. I thought they initially took the whole fragment count into effect, like 11 for base and 44 for bronze (11+33). Otherwise, wouldn’t gold page things like pixies (50/50 in the old system) backslide, like go to 50/55 in the new? Or someone who just prestiged a page to silver would have been counted for only 0 or 1 fragment? Am I reading wrong?
Sorry to tangent I just want to make sure I’m calculating my loss correctly. Maybe A little of my loss is just a fault of the way they counted..

@Blinker73 its not just getting nothing, i was fine with not getting anything back from the first 2.1.3 bug. was a mistake. lost a lot, but moved on. the problem is the second mistake took away what we had even before 2.1.3. Because everything that was starred is like it was never placed in the 1st place. so, with banner gettting to 15/15 and placed in green 0/15 it went to 0/15 as never placed before.
i could still be loosing all the fragments from before 2.1.3 that didn't came through. i won't take it loosing all original placed. and being punished over it, loosing this event, and the way things are going, getting blanks on next brilliant event.
@HPWUTeam - You should have postponed the event instead of letting it go live. Once AGAIN you dropped the ball on fixing something the players have been begging you to fix, instead you just swept it under the rug and ignored us. Why does Pokemon get a warning to not play on June 1 but WU gets shafted with in game updates that not only don't give us back what you already stole from us but took MORE? There was time to postpone the event 48 hours ago when you all first screwed up but nooooo, let's put out a fix that a large number of people never get then keep saying "We'll update when we know more" and let the event go live anyway, forcing everyone who never got the fix to choose one of two equally crappy options. We can either: play the event and risk losing MORE progress IF (VERY BIG IF) we ever get our fragments back OR don't play the event and not be able to prestige rare foundables. No matter what we do we're losing out but I guess since the MAJORITY of people got their stuff back us fringe people don't matter, RIGHT @HPWUrobert ?!? You basically said as much! You SHRUGGED AT US, told us we don't matter and then WALKED AWAY. Not a single word from you since, leaving it all up to @hpwulola, who I am sure is working hard to figure it out but she can't do it alone and we the players need better communication. I tried so very hard to be polite two days ago when NotAFixGate happened but I've gone far past the end of my patience with these shenanigans and I DEMAND ANSWERS.
@Stina1A My understanding is that they simply transferred the number of the fragments on the current page to the new page, and if the number is greater than what is needed on the new page, the remaining one is carried over.
An example is that I have caught 15 Young Tom Riddle and prestiged that page before the update, and after the update I have 0 on bronze page. My friend has caught 12 Young Tom Riddle before the update; and after the update he has 4 on bronze with the green star (9 was carried over; 5 was used for getting that green star).
You are right that someone who had just prestiged a page was counted for only 0. (I prestiged three pages to bronze (Young Tom Riddle, Quittich Harry, Quidditch Hermione ) within one week before the update; all of them were counted as 0). I think it was not fair but it was acceptable compared to many other issues we have been experiencing in this game.
The image posted by @Shaik001 indicates that s/he was either on the basic page before the update or on a bronze page with no more than 3 goblets (if there were more than 10 there should have been a green star); so I am assuming many goblets were caught during the book night event and most probably on a basic page, and most of them will not be counted anyway (as at that time the basic page was gated by Quidditch Harry).
@hpwulola adding my name to the list, since I had previously commented on the bug report rather than this announcement, and that has been marked resolved and therefore not being provided with updates.
Still missing placement stars on several items, though the MGS ones (quidditch book especially) are most concerning as it prevents ability to prestige during this weekend's event.
@Darkbluer you are correct to by a fraction, wrong almost entirely. I was on green stars on everything but the goblet as you assumed. It was my limiting factor as you mentioned.
If I do get the spill over fragments, which some of my friends got, the goblet would not be the limiting factor. How so? Cause of the excess fragments would allow me to place the image not only on the bronze, but also on the silver. Yes, at this stage it will cap and there would be no excess to go to gold.
This is where I was hoping for Saturdays event, as it would allow me to cap out on both Harry and the Nimbus which would technically allow me to go to gold.
If you are still in doubt, here are screencaps of a friend of mine. It will show you how the spill over works, and what I meant.

When the recent "resolution" for this rolled out, I was on the Knight Bus. When I got off, I did notice a few new red dots in my registry, but I think those really just represent foundables that I have held back on placing, such as 10/3 for a dragon that I'd like to roll over at a later date (if I can avoid placing it accidentally...). Other than that I did not notice any changes in my registry. Except for the fact that most of the green stars were missing! They were just gone, i.e. what was previously 5/10 * had been replaced by just unplaced 5/10.
The "fix" for the "resolution" a few hours later did absolutely nothing for me. I didn't notice any change anyway. I looks like my registry got wrecked for playing on the Knight Bus at the wrong time.
Below is a screenshot from before May 7 beside a current post-"fixes" one. AFAIR, I placed Buckbeak, the winged abraxian and the baby dragon when the required fragments were decreased on May 7 but before updating to 2.13. I placed Hagrid's Hut sometime later with fragments returned on the KB. Then with the "resolution", all green stars disappeared and the page has looked like the right screenshot since then. Again, the "fix" for the "resolution" a few hour later did absolutely nothing for me.
For the below page, I placed Tom and prestiged the page on May 7 before the 2.13 update was rolled out and before there was any notice not to. All foundables was at zero after that with no roll-over from the basic page, so the counts you see on the right (which is a current screenshot) is from what I have been able to return since. I'm not sure if I placed any of the three easy ones, but for me it is quite clear that the "resolution" has done nothing for me on this page - the three Toms I have returned after May 7 and I should have 7 more from roll-over. Percival should at least have one fragment, but I think he should also be placed on the bronze page and that I am actually missing 11 fragments (since I didn't have to place him again before I prestiged the page).
A last example, this page was complete before May 7. Now - not so much. 210 fragments missing on that page alone when the umbrella is the only foundable that has been placed.
The rest of my registry is just variations of the above. Please clean this up. I'd especially like to have the games and sports pages fixed before the event so that I don't get even further behind because stuff is unplaced and me not being able to prestige what I should be able to prestige.
Here's one example of a page that's screwed up in my registry. Do you really think that I have only returned 1 out of 37 seen Quidditch fan Luna Lovegood?
I want my green stars and my lost fragments back. Lost hundreds of more fragments with this ”fix”. And what happened to my previous message after I edited it? Seems it’s been in moderation limbo for 24 hours now after the edit...
3 hours left, before the lack of updates is going to hit people even harder, with the start of the weekend event!
@BenTiger it's probably best to save yourself the stress of waiting and just make other plans for the weekend now.

@BenTiger @MtPollux Yeah, it’s going to sting but I already decided that I only log in daily and do nothing else until this is resolved so that we get the fragments back, green stars back and pretty much all of our progress back.
There is no hope they’d postpone the event to next weekend as there is already another events planned. Stings even more, because it could mean we don’t get to play the future events either the longer this drags on. Been almost a month already, and with this recent fiasco I doubt the fix of a fix is going to come anytime soon...

@IsThisMajorTom i think the decisions regarding the refactor of requirements had a bad foundation from the start since it was based on current fragment counts and ignored the prestige color. I call his “taking the easy road fix”.
The bug came and the solution was also to take “the easy road fix” and compared pre bug counts to current counts.
I have no clue why the second fix did not work for some but being released only a few hours after the second bug was detected makes me think it was not investigated properly.
Some players warned the @HPWUTeam to take their time and investigate but we’re ignored.
The situation now is that
-some players got nothing
-some got more
-some got not enough
-everybody finds the situation unnacptable
i think the @HPWUTeam has lost control of the situation and this is from day 1 when It was decided how to migrate players to the requirements.
they are now in the situation where the next available “easy road fix” that is: “giving everybody the number of fragments they had on the 6th” will still be problematic because some users will have more than others in the end and will still be discussed as unfair over here.
Heck, (so far) I got more than I was entitled to but still am not happy because of the fact that The migration plan was unfair from the start even if there would have been zero bugs.
the way I see it is that i can no longer compare my stats to others and keep my bragging Wright’s at least when it was possible.
@HPWUTeam please postpone the event ASAP as the situation is not under control.

@Darkbluer @Blinker73 I’m confused by your comment. I thought they initially took the whole fragment count into effect, like 11 for base and 44 for bronze (11+33). Otherwise, wouldn’t gold page things like pixies (50/50 in the old system) backslide, like go to 50/55 in the new? Or someone who just prestiged a page to silver would have been counted for only 0 or 1 fragment? Am I reading wrong?
Sorry to tangent I just want to make sure I’m calculating my loss correctly. Maybe A little of my loss is just a fault of the way they counted..

@Blinker73 its not just getting nothing, i was fine with not getting anything back from the first 2.1.3 bug. was a mistake. lost a lot, but moved on. the problem is the second mistake took away what we had even before 2.1.3. Because everything that was starred is like it was never placed in the 1st place. so, with banner gettting to 15/15 and placed in green 0/15 it went to 0/15 as never placed before.
i could still be loosing all the fragments from before 2.1.3 that didn't came through. i won't take it loosing all original placed. and being punished over it, loosing this event, and the way things are going, getting blanks on next brilliant event.

@HPWUTeam - You should have postponed the event instead of letting it go live. Once AGAIN you dropped the ball on fixing something the players have been begging you to fix, instead you just swept it under the rug and ignored us. Why does Pokemon get a warning to not play on June 1 but WU gets shafted with in game updates that not only don't give us back what you already stole from us but took MORE? There was time to postpone the event 48 hours ago when you all first screwed up but nooooo, let's put out a fix that a large number of people never get then keep saying "We'll update when we know more" and let the event go live anyway, forcing everyone who never got the fix to choose one of two equally crappy options. We can either: play the event and risk losing MORE progress IF (VERY BIG IF) we ever get our fragments back OR don't play the event and not be able to prestige rare foundables. No matter what we do we're losing out but I guess since the MAJORITY of people got their stuff back us fringe people don't matter, RIGHT @HPWUrobert ?!? You basically said as much! You SHRUGGED AT US, told us we don't matter and then WALKED AWAY. Not a single word from you since, leaving it all up to @hpwulola, who I am sure is working hard to figure it out but she can't do it alone and we the players need better communication. I tried so very hard to be polite two days ago when NotAFixGate happened but I've gone far past the end of my patience with these shenanigans and I DEMAND ANSWERS.
@Stina1A My understanding is that they simply transferred the number of the fragments on the current page to the new page, and if the number is greater than what is needed on the new page, the remaining one is carried over.
An example is that I have caught 15 Young Tom Riddle and prestiged that page before the update, and after the update I have 0 on bronze page. My friend has caught 12 Young Tom Riddle before the update; and after the update he has 4 on bronze with the green star (9 was carried over; 5 was used for getting that green star).
You are right that someone who had just prestiged a page was counted for only 0. (I prestiged three pages to bronze (Young Tom Riddle, Quittich Harry, Quidditch Hermione ) within one week before the update; all of them were counted as 0). I think it was not fair but it was acceptable compared to many other issues we have been experiencing in this game.
The image posted by @Shaik001 indicates that s/he was either on the basic page before the update or on a bronze page with no more than 3 goblets (if there were more than 10 there should have been a green star); so I am assuming many goblets were caught during the book night event and most probably on a basic page, and most of them will not be counted anyway (as at that time the basic page was gated by Quidditch Harry).
@hpwulola adding my name to the list, since I had previously commented on the bug report rather than this announcement, and that has been marked resolved and therefore not being provided with updates.
Still missing placement stars on several items, though the MGS ones (quidditch book especially) are most concerning as it prevents ability to prestige during this weekend's event.
@Darkbluer you are correct to by a fraction, wrong almost entirely. I was on green stars on everything but the goblet as you assumed. It was my limiting factor as you mentioned.
If I do get the spill over fragments, which some of my friends got, the goblet would not be the limiting factor. How so? Cause of the excess fragments would allow me to place the image not only on the bronze, but also on the silver. Yes, at this stage it will cap and there would be no excess to go to gold.
This is where I was hoping for Saturdays event, as it would allow me to cap out on both Harry and the Nimbus which would technically allow me to go to gold.
If you are still in doubt, here are screencaps of a friend of mine. It will show you how the spill over works, and what I meant.
@hpwulola @HPWUrobert when do you think we all would get this? It's a shame if we have to play Saturday's event without this fix :(.
