I'm a noob on Harry Potter and I'm intrigued by the Calamity. I'm not nearly as adept on Harry Potter lore as I should be (yes, I've seen all the movies and read most of the books).
From the looks of it, not even H. Potter himself knows wat in t'**** be going on, hea!
From the looks of it, some rouge Wizards got themselves some powerful magic that ended up breaking the barrier between magic and non-magic worlds. The classic duality model always plays well in RPGs.
From the type of games that Niantic is known for making, this calamity will be going for a very long time.
