Loving the Knight bus, finally wizarding challenges without facing the scary outside world! Would it be possible to get a lift to an inn put in as well? I'm missing sending gifts!

Meh. Inns drop energy gifts. No one really needs energy gifts at the moment since you can just pick it up off the ground.

Plenty of runestone gifts can be acquired by running low level challenges. Burn through the level 1 BE runes you’ve acquired.

@Grumkin I get where you’re coming from, but it depends. What you’re saying might be true for some people but not everyone. A lot of rural players don’t have much spawning around them including SE on the ground. There are also those in cities who may be getting low on SE quicker than replenishing it because they are stuck in one place and there’s not much ground SE. Ground SE, increased SE from dailies and SE rewarded from completing the BE tasks is great, but there are many who still also benefit from SE gifts as well and some who rely on it.

Acquiring gifts from the Knight Bus with BE runestones in the ruin levels is a good idea for those who want to send runestone gifts, however, currently a lot of people are facing problems with the Knight Bus so they may not be able to play and therefore get gifts from there.

I just wanted to highlight what some peoples current situation might be. Not trying to take sides on the suggestion. It’s a nice suggestion (both to be able to get SE and to gift SE), but I feel like it’s unlikely that it will happen; one reason is because a lot has been done to make it easier for players to get SE already; and another is because having an inn accessible from home, would defeat the purpose of the the SE you can buy with gold. But you never know 🤷‍♀️

As I think about it, would be cool if the Knight Bus took you to Diagon Alley, off which there could be the Leaky Cauldron (Inn) , Slug & Jiggers (Apothecary), and Knockturn Alley (Fortress) . Possibly add Eeylops to send messages to your friends.

lol I remember when the Knight Bus was just a pipe dream, and we put forth some sound arguments for it's implementation. I'm sure it was in the pipes anyhow but still, inns and greenhouses would be asking a lot, imho. In fact, I was initially concerned about the viability of local fortresses now that we have Hogwart's Castle. I'm thinking developers will have to make local fortresses unique from the Castle to keep them viable. Better rewards or something.

@ZookiTabooki My husband and I play together for the most part and while the bus is fun, I miss sitting in my car at the post office down the road (after hours) hitting those chambers together. Oddly enough, HPWU has brought us closer and with the stay at home order here finally expired, I'm hoping we'll get to go do some Fortresses soon. I hope they leave them in the game. The bus for me would be for those days when the weather is too cruddy to leave the house, with our main focus being the Fortress at the post office.

@LionessMolly I know what you mean. I enjoy fortressing on my evening walk, just a few quick solos in lower chambers for gifts with nice postcards. But I am so grateful for the Knight Bus, which finally allows me to play as a team!

@LionessMolly I'm sure local fortresses are here to stay, too big a part of the landscape. We have a local fortress nearby that we can park under without violating social distancing. We plan to be there and tackle some Dark Chambers together on Community Day without the hassle of trying to find each other in the Castle. We love the Night Bus but fear it's effect on local fortressing. I'm willing to bet the Niantician Gods will keep them viable.

Given that the Knight Bus is officially here to stay, I feel like they need to make it more enticing to go to regular fortresses once these lockdowns are over. Better rewards? Limit rewards and/or number of uses of Knight Bus in a single day? Not sure. But the game was obviously designed to get people out and about, exploring their towns and coming together. Regular fortresses have to be here to stay as well.

@MrSciGuy I was thinking the same thing, perhaps a bonus of some kind or something to set them apart.

    I just had an epiphany.

That other popular Nianic game has a feature where eggs appear at gyms. Players can do special challenges to capture the creatures that emerge from the eggs.

So... real world fortresses. Add special dragon egg events!
