Hey everyone! We have details of The Quidditch Cup Brilliant Event to share!
Reminder: The Event starts Tuesday, May 5th at 11am PT
There will be six new Foundables. Here is where you can find them:
- Brilliant Encounters: Brilliant Encounter and Brilliant Nimbus 2000
- Quest Rewards: James Potter Plaque and Trophy Case
- Wizarding Challenge using Brilliant Runestone: Inter-House Quidditch Cup
- Portkey Rewards: Nearly Headless Nick
Start clearing your Portkey vault to pick up Brilliant Portmanteaus, which will be 1.5KM. As a reminder, Part 1 Portkeys will give you part 1 rewards anytime you open them, even if you wait to open them during Part 2.
There will be a Bonus Assignments that follow the main tasks, best of luck! Remember to pick up your complimentary store pack from Diagon Alley 🎁

@hpwulola quick question for you...the rewards for the bonus assignment are all Quidditch through the Ages fragments correct? If this right will Quidditch Harry Potter be boosted? The reason I ask is I have all of those fragments but need 6more Quidditch Harry Potter to be able to prestige that page. Or maybe I am missing something here.

i have the same concern as @ClairabusGryff about the bonus task rewards consisting exclusively of Quiddith Through The Ages Book (QTTAB) fragments (3 x 5) ... those of us who are far away from placing the extremely rare Quidditch Captain Harry Potter (QCHP) image (mine is at 10/15) and thereby prestiging the page to re-set the fragment counts will have no use whatsoever for 15 more QTTAB fragments. i don’t know for sure but i believe there are many of us in this same boat needing QCHP fragments.

@ClairabusGryff Correct. During the event, you may see an increase of the Snitch, Bludger, Crystal Ball, Foe Glass, Lee Jordan, and Pensieve traces! These Traces do not appear equally and the high and severe foundables will be more rare! Use a Tonic for Trace Detection to increase your chance of seeing these.
Quidditch Harry is not on this list; I will pass this feedback along to our team.

@hpwulola Aha! Now I understand! Although, sometimes the image itself is dubious. We had a rather *ahem* interesting fortress here in Bangkok. Passed the moderation test, though!

@hpwulola - we provided the feedback very quickly after details about the brilliant event were finally made available to us, but it is likely too late for that feedback to result in any meaningful change for this event. maybe if event details were released earlier in the calendar, such as one week in advance, then maybe just maybe the feedback might actually count

Also I must thank you for the recent increase in spell energy. Ever since CD spell energy is everywhere again for me on the ground and I really like that you put 10 SE in each section of the event On top of the 50 we get at the beginning. Thank you for listening to my feedback. I am so appreciative!!
@kiheikid, unfortunately the QTTAB is one of the few that I actually have completed on that page as well, so it won’t help me either to get more of those books. But for some reason I am so far away from the others as well. Sounds like you and @Cladicus are much closer than I am, I hope Harry show up for you!
On my side, I guess I will just enjoy the brilliant even for all of the other fun stuff that come with these events! Looking forward to it!

Anyway about picking something on task 1, its a bit unfair for those devoid of spawns around home isn it. 😬
And the bonus reward its kind of usefull if its something like fragment ticket? That kind be cash in for any kind of fragments of our choosing or some a set few fragments to choose from.
Is anyone else stuck on task 2 because Angelina is being recognized as a “bludger” Foundable?
@Gatorella "bludger foundable" means the one where the bludger is the actual foundable (from the magical games and sports family with a bludger guarded by the dark wizard), not any of the various ones where the bludger is the confoundable guarding some other foundable.
Bludger in the crate isnt it?

Has there been any response to increasing Quidditch Captain Harry? All those potentially wasted fragments make this bonus round frustrating!
Very very low spawn for this event. No brilliant foundable without tonic. Why?
How long can we hang on to our bonus items before cashing them in? Will they remain past the event or do they disjntegrate if we don’t ‘Collect’ them before the event is over. I’m still trying to figure out where to find a few more QCHP. Headed to a Magical Games area now...but did I remember reading they are ‘turned iff’ fir the time being?
@Smyrna38 you have to collect the rewards during the event. Once the event ends (11am California time next Tuesday) anything you haven't collected will be gone.
And you remember correctly, flagged areas are turned off during the quarantine, so there is no point in going to one as it won't help you find that elusive fragment.
Just curious, has anyone seen a Pensieve yet? I only need one to prestige the page, forever hopeful 🤞
Why is it that these events are impossible for folks to complete from home? I never see any spell energy on my map or ingredients etc. Really bad planning to include potion ingredients on the first page of the task list.

Seconding the comment about no brilliant spawns without using tonic for trace detection. Is this a bug or intentional low spawn? It’s very frustrating.
the spawns are very low for this brilliant event.
even in the wild spawns are not as many as usual.
maybe preparing for the update?

@hpwulola I came here to ask about the Bonus Event Prizes and I see that several people already have. Has your team thought about the possibility of making Harry Potter Quidditch Captain more available or changing the prizes? Just curious as it would be a shame to waste all of those fragments.
