This morning I launched the game. Told me "failed login" and asked me to select my email address and birthday all over again. Even my notification that my potion was done brewing disappeared. Is there any way Niantic can reinstate it? :((
Me too. Yesterday I couldnt log into my account. This morning all my progress back to level 1. Spent a sum of cash into this game. Plz look into this issue.
For everyone I've seen this happen to so far, uninstalling and reinstalling the app was the solution. Once reinstalled, you'll be prompted to link to your Google or Facebook account like you did when you first set up the game, and all of your stats and inventory will still be intact. I think the only thing that isn't saved is your Ministry ID picture.
Alternatively, if you've already gone through the new account creation and are back to square one, you can go into settings and log out. You'll return to the login screen where it asks for your date of birth and to link to your social media account. Make sure you select the same social media account as you selected the first time (Google or Facebook).

I checked to make sure that the account from which I had been locked out was the correct one. All the receipts for.purchases I had made were in my original email account but using a different one, I managed to get back in. Really weird.
Then Niantic support guy, Kevin, was nice enough to work with me until I managed to get back into the game but using a different email account. And all my progress was restored.
I'm sorry- i have to say this- is it only me who guffawed at the username straight under the first comment!! So appropriate!!!
I'm not making light of your pain guys, that would have driven me nuts keep having my account mess up! But that just made me laugh so much- maybe my weird sense of humour.
I need some desperate help! Lost my account and this is so unfriendly. I have logged with my Facebook I am 99% certain I logged with it and I get a newbie account. I am level 33! Help help!
@Ronga68 have you tried logging into Google just in case that was the original method of logging in? If that doesn't work, i think you need to reach out to support/help so they can get you to your original account. Oh, and just in case, when you're logging in via Facebook, make sure you're using the same Facebook account. Some people have multiple FB accts, so that could be an issue.

I have tried everything suggested here as well as on the Niantic support email reply and the in-app sign in support page. Nothing works.
This makes a total of NINE times I have tried to get in.
