@SoulPowerX - i am a maxed professor and find the poacher takes 240hp damage on my first spellcast and then needs a second spellcast to be finished off. i had not noticed any extra hp damage resulting from my TTD being on, but i’ll try to have a closer look if and when i encounter a poacher without TTD
@kiheikid Its a nice mechanic and I like that it counts as a Doxy fragment. I wish I knew before though, so I could focus on getting the horned serpent eggs I needed to prestige the page to gold. I was focusing on using Magizoologist runestones in fortresses. Oh well, guess I’ll have to try and wake up early once it has prestiged... we’ll see how that goes (200 Doxies) 👀😂
@SoulPowerX The damage I usually do is 109 as a Magizoologist with maxed power. So it takes me three hits to get the poacher unless I get a critical in the first two hits, then it’s two. I didn’t notice a difference with hitting a normal poacher and one from a TTD though, I’ll check next time.
@kiheikid I have currently seen and picked up four of the special 1K portmanteaus. I was slightly surprised as I don’t usually see that many that quickly. Hopefully you’ll come across them soon too.
Oh i think he looks a bit like norm macdonald (the comedian) and by the looks of it Newtand the unicorn for me with TTD are maybe boosted by 1%: 2 TTDs and so far 1 Newt/ 1 unicorn and only within the last 3 minutes of the second TTD. Disappointed.
Have now had to force restart three times, each time losing a quantity of magi foundables, and have run into 7 server errors (Server error on encounter start) that when i close out of take my foundable with it.
@hpwulola uhm, this is the planned spawn for sure? 3 ttd: thousand common blue, ZERO unicorn, ZERO newt. Ok, it isn't a community day but this spawn it's a disappointment
Well my first TTD of the event was unspectacular. I appreciate the Doxy fragments, but since I started the event needing 5 Newts to prestige that page, and I didn’t get a single one, most of the other fragments felt like a waste of spell energy. I did get 3 Nifflers, which is the only foundable besides Newt that I need at present, so that was cool.
Using a Tonic will bring out Poacher Oddities and there's a chance it will bring up Newt as well. When you defeat the Poacher, he will leave behind a Magizoology trace. I believe these errors are occurring because when you defeat the Poacher many times in a row, the map gets flooded with Magizoology traces. The team is investigating this!
This feedback regarding the traces that Tonic is bringing up has been passed along to the team. I'll follow up if I learn anything!
Please increase the spawn rate of newt using a tonic. I used 7 tonics so far and have not encounter a single Newt. Very pleased with the rewards in the other Foundables though. But I used 7 tonics and have not encounter 1 newt yet.
@hpwulola many thanks but, please, increase newt and unicorns spawn. OK, "a chance it will bring up Newt and/or Unicorn as well", but from 6ttd 0 newt, 0 unicorns (so many poachers) it's not a good event...
got 4 Newt fragments and lost a 5th Newt because my dawdle draught ran out and i forgot to do a new one when Newt departed on the very next spellcast
also had 2 unicorns appear but i chose to return only one of them as 11th fragment needed for placing the image. i had already returned 10 high (or better) foundables, so no use wasting SE or potions on that second unicorn until i get enough Newts to place and then prestige
currently at 12/15 Newt fragments
this second TTD, i started at 176/175 SE and now am down to 109/175 ( and i picked up SE as well as received some bonus SE as trace rewards, but did not keep track how much)
although it is great getting doxie fragments without having to get up around dawn, these poacher encounters are working as a tax of 2SE per magizoology trace
The Peculiar Portkeys Portmanteau are too hard to distinguish from the others in the map. I keep picking up the wrong kind. Please change the color! Also, it would be nice if we could discard ones we don’t want.
I'm sorry to hear some people are not having great luck with the event so far, it sounds like pretty mixed results out there.
For comparison, I've used 3 TTD so far. I've seen 88 poachers which has led to 4 Newts and 2 unicorns. Over the course of the 3 tonics my spell energy has only gone down by about 70 because of all the +10 energy rewards and the occasional energy bolt on the ground. Plus I've lost count of how much extra gold I've picked up, but if I end up needing more energy I'll be able to use my rewards to buy some.
I have a habit of restarting my app periodically because sometimes new stuff pops up. I restarted it and this happened. Just thought it was funny! Too bad I don’t need any of them. 🤷🏼♀️

@hpwulola I just used another TTD and I came across 5 Newt confoundables. The tuning adjustments are amazing! It makes using the TTD and the SE used a lot more worthwhile. Thank you! You all are awesome for listening to the feedback and responding so quickly to it! 😃

has anyone seen a special 1k portkey portmanteau yet? is it a different color/appearance than normal portkey portmanteaus?

Seconded on the spawn server error. The se intensity is balanced out in my case by the se the foundables themselves bring. :)

Same disappointment :( seems Newt spawns are worse than Grawp on last Magical Mischief event e.g. close to zero

We made some tuning adjustments and you should be seeing more Newt foundables pop up when a Tonic is consumed!
