Only shows 12/20 for Distinct Spells despite casting 13

Hi there,

I'm a beta player and currently level 33. I understand other beta players have encountered similar problems.


Mine relates to:

Achievement: 20 distinct spells - 12/20

I have double checked and I have definitely successfully cast 13 spells, not 12. It has been at 12 for almost as long as I can remember playing the game, with many new much lower level players reaching 13. Even just over the last 2 weeks I remember casting 13 different spells against confoundables, yet it has never updated? If new spells are added, will it never change and remain at 12 forever? 😂


I have recorded each different spell cast against confoundables (excluding spells used at fortresses) and everytime I count, it adds up to 13.

    This is indeed a small annoying bug. I’m also stuck at 12/20 even though I have certainly made all the current 13 spells.

    I’m just guessing here, but have you definitely cast the spell in greenhouses? I can’t remember the name sorry. You probably have. Maybe @HPWUblue or @HPWUrobert could take a look for you?

    @Treacle I'm a beta player with 13/20 distint spells cast. I am still showing 2/10 mystery items found.

    @Dewin99 the greenhouse spell is herbivicus.


    @Treacle @JItkonen have you both cast the spell in a greenhouse to boost yield? This is the 13th spell that some others have missed.

    @Dewin99 @MtPollux Yep, I have used herbivicus many times, best way to get lots of mushies 😁


    @JItkonen have you tried contacting Niantic to get it fixed? I posted here because when I send bug info through the app, it doesn't seem to get anywhere.


    I'm now screenshotting each different spell I complete, already got 11. Just have to do aguamenti and expecto patronum now. At least I know I've done all 13, which you can tell just looking at my registry pages 😂

    @HPWUTeam ,


    Want to answer this question or the duplicate @Lucoire mentioned or the several other duplicates? Your gamers have been asking this since day one as to why some get 13, some get 14 and most only get 12 but we've got identical circumstances. There are several reddits, posts here and discord has been blown up but since Fazes left no one really cares about discord (where most of your gamers actually interact).

    I'm gonna blow in this thread again. Still same issue. I'm missing one spell in the achievement. I'm done with the registry all green dots on everything, so that I could have missed a spell is impossible 🙄.

    known bug that's never been fixed, betas (and maybe not only) have 12/20, on the opposite end I have 14/20, lol
